Consultation Conferences. (a) Regular conferences will be arranged between the Unit President and the Labour Relations Department on an as required basis, but not less than every two months by either party. An agenda on work place matters, will be provided on the day proceeding the meeting. (b) Special conferences for workplace matters may be arranged between representatives of the Unit and Labour Relations. It is understood that special conferences will not be requested in order to circumvent the grievance procedure. Such meetings shall be between two representatives of the Corporation Company and two representatives of the Unit, one of whom shall be the Unit President, provided, however, that at the request of either party, there may be a third representative of the Corporation Company and/or the Union. The third Union member at such conferences shall be an officer of the Local Union. By agreement between the parties, additional representatives of the Company and/or the Union, one of whom may be a representative of the National Union, may attend conferences under this Section. Arrangements for such special conferences shall be made in advance by the submission of a written agenda setting forth in reasonable detail the nature of the matters to be taken up at the meeting, and the names of the representatives of the Union who will attend, shall be presented to the Labour Relations Supervisor at the time the conference is requested. In the event a dispute arises between the parties as to the propriety of arranging the date and time or the additional representatives attending a special conference, such disputes will be referred to Staff Labour Relations and the National Union. Matters taken up in special conferences shall be confined to those included on the agenda. (c) The Union representatives may meet at a place in the office designated by Management for one-half (1/2) hour immediately preceding a special conference. Members of the Union if working in the office in which such a meeting is held, shall not lose time or pay for time spent in such special conferences. If one of the members of the Union who attend such meetings is the Unit President, the Unit President shall not lose time or pay for time spent in such special conference. (d) In the event an annual meeting is requested pursuant to Section (2.7) Consultation Conferences of the Production and Maintenance Agreement, appropriate Office and Clerical representatives will be invited to attend.

Consultation Conferences. (a) Regular - Regular Conferences will be arranged between the Plant Shop Committee and Plant Management and the Labour Relations Department on an as required basis, but not less than every two months by either party. An agenda on workplace matters, will be provided on the day preceding the meeting. (b) Special - Special Conferences on workplace matters may be arranged between representatives of the Local Union and Staff Labour Relations or the Plant Manager or designate of the Plant Manager. Upon the request of the Local Union President, the Manager, Labour Relations and Security will make arrangements for a representative of the National Union to attend said conference. Arrangements for such conferences will be made in advance with an agenda of the workplace matters to be discussed presented at the time the conference is requested. Special Conferences shall be confined to those matters included on the agenda. Union representatives as specified, if working in the Plant shall receive pay from the Corporation at their regular hourly rate for the time spent in such conferences, provided they would otherwise have worked in the Plant during the time spent in such conferences.

  • Professional Conferences Professional conferences are those conferences sponsored by educational organizations, institutions of higher learning, and government and industry concerning teaching, learning and educational research. When a full-time or part-time faculty member’s attendance at a professional conference conflicts with his/her regular assignment, the faculty member must submit a request for attendance to the appropriate Xxxx, Director, or Supervisor. If granted, the attendance at the conference will be considered leave with pay, and a follow-up report of the conference shall be submitted to the appropriate Supervisor.

  • Evaluation Conference The final evaluation conference shall occur not later than the end of the fall term. The purpose of the final evaluation conference is to discuss with the probationary employee the results of the evaluation and announce the team’s recommendation. The evaluation team shall determine what additional evaluation activity shall occur during the spring term. If the team recommends that the District not employ the professor for the following year, no evaluation activities in the spring are necessary.

  • SPECIAL CONFERENCES Special conferences for important matters may be arranged between the Union and the designated representative of the Board upon the request of either party.

  • Informal Conference An employee against whom the disciplinary action is being considered may be requested to attend an informal conference with the immediate supervisor, his/her designee and/or a Human Resources Administrator prior to official written notification or any recommended disciplinary action. At such conference, the employee shall be informed orally of the specific disciplinary action being considered as well as the reasons therefore and be given an opportunity to respond thereto. At such a conference, the employee may represent himself/herself and/or be represented by a union representative. Holding such an informal conference is discretionary with the District and the failure to do so shall not invalidate any disciplinary action taken pursuant to this regulation.

  • PRE-JOB CONFERENCE a) The Employer shall notify the union that a project has been awarded to the Employer following the award. Prior to the start of each project, a pre-job conference shall be held to determine all site-specific issues as outlined in the Agreement. This conference may be conducted via telephone, through a scheduled meeting or by some other practical means as agreed to by the parties. b) A copy of the pre-job conference report shall be provided to the Employer, the Union and the Job Xxxxxxx (s). A copy shall also be posted on the bulletin board(s) at the jobsite.

  • Parent-Teacher Conferences A. Unit member shall be available at mutually arranged times during the regular school day to confer with parents regarding learning difficulties, student progress and/or behavioral problems a student may be experiencing. Unit members are encouraged to arrange a meeting or conference with parents before or after the regular school day if both time and place are mutually agreeable. B. In the event that a bargaining unit member does not communicate with a parent on the established date for parent unit member conferences as per the calendar adopted by the Board, a reasonable attempt to contact that parent will be made. A reasonable attempt constitutes a phone call or email. If that contact is not returned, the bargaining unit member shall not be obligated to make further contact.

  • Preconstruction Conference Prior to, or concurrent with, the issuance of the Notice to Proceed with Construction, a conference will be convened for attendance by the Owner, Contractor, A/E and appropriate Subcontractors. The purpose of the conference is to establish a working understanding among the parties as to the Work, the operational conditions at the Project Site, and general administration of the Project. Topics include communications, schedules, procedures for handling Shop Drawings and other submittals, processing Applications for Payment, maintaining required records and all other matters of importance to the administration of the Project and effective communications between the project team members.

  • Consultations A Party may request in writing consultations with the other Party with respect to any matter referred to in Article 174 (Scope of Application).
