CONTINUING PRACTICES. 18.1 The Corporation acknowledges a continuing responsibility to maintain a climate in which the academic and professional functions of Members may be effectively carried out and undertakes to provide a level of facilities and support services consistent with this responsibility, subject to the budgetary policies established by the Corporation. 18.2 In particular the Corporation shall ensure that there is an adequate level of support in the following areas, provided at no cost to the Member: i) secretarial and related services as listed in Letter of Intent 2012-02CF for Members to conduct University business, to prepare professional publications, with the exception of theses or manuscripts of books, and to carry out professional and research activities; ii) technical support; iii) office and laboratory space and ancillary facilities such as language laboratories; iv) telephones and other business machines; v) office supplies and equipment; vi) teaching aids and equipment; vii) markers, readers, and demonstrators. viii) library, computing services and duplicating services as specified in the Memorandum of Agreement [version of full-time faculty memorandum]. 18.3 a) During semesters when they are teaching, each Member shall automatically receive at no cost the usual entitlements granted to full-time faculty, including, but not limited to, i) a shared office with a reasonable amount of office furniture, a computer with Internet access, a telephone and office supplies; ii) a University email account; iii) access to the Library and computing services; iv) a photocopy card and access to duplicating services; v) a campus mail box; vi) a Xxxxxx'x University identity card; vii) a listing in the Campus Directory and on the University Website; viii) a password to access the part of the University Website dealing with course registration.

CONTINUING PRACTICES. 15.01 The Corporation acknowledges a continuing responsibility to maintain a climate in which the academic and professional functions of Members may be effectively carried out and undertakes to provide a level of facilities and support services consistent with this responsibility, subject to the budgetary policies established by the Corporation. In particular, the Corporation shall ensure that there is an adequate and reasonable level of support in the following areas: a) Administrative and related services for Members to conduct University business. This support shall include: i) Filing and organization: Helping to organize lectures, workshops, and receptions, including paying invoices Making travel and accommodation arrangements for guest lecturers Stocking a local repository with basic office supplies ii) Printing, scanning, and photocopying: Printing on letterhead paper, on BU envelopes; printing name tags Photocopying of texts for use in course packs, and filling out appropriate copyright forms Assistance in preparing professional publications Scanning paper documents as electronic files iii) Problem-Solving: Placing Buildings & Grounds, and Information Technology Services, work orders Ensuring classrooms and meeting rooms are unlocked when booked for use
CONTINUING PRACTICES. 16.01 The Corporation acknowledges a continuing responsibility to maintain a climate in which the academic and professional functions of members may be effectively carried out and undertakes to provide a level of facilities and support services consistent with this responsibility, subject to the budgetary policies established by the Corporation. a) In particular the Corporation shall ensure that there is an adequate level of support in the following areas: i) Secretarial and related services for members to conduct University business, to prepare professional publications, with the exception of theses or manuscripts of books, and to carry out professional and research activities. Adequate support is understood here to be a minimum of one full-time secretary for every ten members. ii) Technical support staff. iii) Office and laboratory space and ancillary facilities such as language laboratories. iv) Telephones. v) Supplies and equipment. vi) Teaching aids and materials. vii) Markers, readers, and demonstrators. b) In addition to the facilities and services specified in a), a member has use of the library, computing and duplicating services at no cost to the member for teaching, academic and scholarly work, and research. 16.02 A member is entitled to a private office with reasonable amount of office furniture, a telephone and office supplies. "Private" implies that access is restricted to normal cleaning and repair services and to emergencies, except by consent of the member. A member shall not be re-assigned to a different office without prior consultation.

CONTINUING PRACTICES. For the duration of this Agreement, employees covered by this Agreement shall continue to retain these provisions: A. An employee shall normally be assigned duties by his/her regular supervisor. B. Each employee shall have access to all materials, equipment, foods, work areas and telephones necessary to perform duties and as required to take care of emergency situations. C. The University shall enter into full discussion with the Union prior to engaging in on-the-job time-study projects. D. Bi-weekly paychecks shall be made available to employees as early as possible on Fridays, or before. E. No managerial employee, as defined by the Massachusetts Public Employee Collective Bargaining Law (Chapter 150E), who is excluded from the terms of this Agreement, shall perform the work of any employee covered by this Agreement, except in the case of an emergency, excessive absence of employees from work, lack of an adequate number of employees or for the purpose of providing instruction or training of employees.
CONTINUING PRACTICES. The Club will continue to provide employees in the Bargaining Unit and their spouse with basic membership in the Club, at no cost. In addition, after ten (10) years of continuous serviced with the Club, the Club will provide one hundred ($100.00) C.A.A. dollars annually per Employee in order that the Employee may purchase an upgraded level of membership or utilize the monies for other C.A.A. product or services.
