Convention Allowance. (a) A convention allowance, in the amount of $500, will be allocated to full-time employees for travel and subsistence in order to attend the Alberta Teachers' Association annual convention. The convention allowance, which is held in trust as per the 1991/92 collective agreement, will be paid to the teachers, in response to a travel expense claim, as an expense cheque on the last Thursday prior to the convention. Temporary teachers or part-time teaches will be paid a prorata convention allowance.
Convention Allowance. 3.9.1.1 The Employer shall contribute to each teacher who as a condition of employment is required to attend convention: Nine hundred, thirty- nine dollars and twenty-seven cents ($939.27).
Convention Allowance. The convention allowance, which is held in trust as per the Collective Agreement, will be paid to the teachers, in response to a travel expense claim, as an expense cheque on the last Thursday prior to the convention. Temporary teachers or part-time teachers will be paid a pro-rata convention allowance. Teachers attending an alternate in place of the Annual Convention, sanctioned by the Alberta Teachers’ Convention Board, will receive the convention allowance. Teachers not attending the Annual Convention, or a sanctioned alternate activity, will be paid the convention allowance on their next pay cheque. A teacher who has rendered service for part of the year, will be paid a pro-rata convention allowance on their final cheque. COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT
Convention Allowance. A teacher who is engaged by an Association convention as a speaker shall be entitled to retain any honorarium and/or stipend provided by the Convention Association in addition to their regular pay.

Convention Allowance. 3.6.3.1 The School Division shall pay to the Association Local #69 an amount per teacher on or before September 1st each year for the purpose of providing a travel grant to teachers to attend the teachers’ convention. The Association Local #69 shall determine the amount each teacher is to receive, and distribute this amount prior to the teachers’ convention date.

Effective until May 1, 2023, the School Division shall pay to the Association Local #69 an amount per teacher on or before September 1st each year for the purpose of providing a travel grant to teachers to attend the teachers' convention. The Association Local #69 shall determine the amount each teacher is to receive, and distribute this amount prior to the teachers' convention date: $500.00 per teacher. The division shall contribute a further to all teachers who provide a full year of service: full time, part time and full time temporary contract teachers for convention allowance for travel and subsistence in order to attend the Alberta Teachers' Association annual convention. Teachers not attending the annual convention or a sanctioned alternate activity, will be paid the convention allowance on their next pay cheque.
