Convention Allowance. 3.9.1.1 The Employer shall contribute to each teacher who as a condition of employment is required to attend convention: Nine hundred, thirty- nine dollars and twenty-seven cents ($939.27).
3.9.1.2 Teachers accessing any personal leave during the Alberta Teachers' Association Convention, shall not be eligible for and shall not receive the allowance established in clause 3.9.1.1.
3.9.1.3 Teachers who do not travel to and / or do not attend the Alberta Teachers' Association Convention due to any other leave shall not be eligible for and shall not receive the convention allowance established in clause 3.9.1.1.
3.9.1.4 A teacher who is engaged by an Alberta Teachers' Association Convention Association as a speaker shall be entitled to retain any honorarium and / or stipend provided by the Convention Association in addition to their regular salary and allowances for that day.

Convention Allowance. 3.6.3.1 The School Division shall pay to the Association Local #69 an amount per teacher on or before September 1st each year for the purpose of providing a travel grant to teachers to attend the teachers’ convention. The Association Local #69 shall determine the amount each teacher is to receive, and distribute this amount prior to the teachers’ convention date.
3.6.3.2 Effective September 1, 2017 $450.00 per teacher. Effective September 1, 2020 $500.00 per teacher. This rate is to be adjusted on the same dates and by the same percentage increase as the salary grid.

A convention allowance, in the amount of FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS will be allocated to full-time employees for travel and subsistence in order to attend the Alberta Teachers’ Association Annual Convention. The convention allowance, which is held in trust as per the Collective Agreement, will be paid to the teachers, in response to a travel expense claim, as an expense cheque on the last Thursday prior to the convention. Temporary teachers or part-time teachers will be paid a pro-rata convention Teachers attending an alternate in place of the Annual Convention, sanctioned by the Alberta Teachers’ Convention Board, will receive the convention allowance. Teachers not attending the Annual Convention, or a sanctioned alternate activity, will be paid the convention allowance on their next pay cheque.

The convention allowance, which is held in trust as per the 1991/92 collective agreement, will be paid to the teachers, in response to a travel expense claim, as an expense cheque on the last Thursday prior to the convention. Temporary teachers or part-time teaches will be paid a prorata convention allowance.
(b) The division shall contribute a further $250 to full-time teachers for convention allowance for travel and subsistence in order to attend the Alberta Teachers' Association annual convention. Temporary teachers or part-time teachers will be paid a prorata convention allowance.
(c) Teachers not attending the ATA annual convention or a sanctioned alternate activity, will be paid the convention allowance on their next pay cheque.
(d) A teacher who has rendered service for part of the year, will be paid a prorata convention allowance on their final cheque. Fort Vermilion School Division No 52 and The Alberta Teachers' Association
1. If, due to the school configuration changes in High Level expected in September 2000, there is a reduction in the administrative allowances of an administrator of Xxxxxxxx XxxXxxxxxx Community School and High Level Public School below the 1999-2000 administrative allowance he/she received then he/she shall receive no less than the administrative allowance received during the 1999-2000 school year. This protection shall be effective for the 2000-2001 school year. Effective the 2001 school year, these administrators shall receive the allowance provided for under the terms of the collective agreement.
2. The ex-principal of a school who has been removed as of September 1999 because of a change of population in the school shall be paid his 1998-1999 administrative allowance for the remainder of the 1999-2000 school year.

Effective until May 1, 2023, the School Division shall pay to the Association Local #69 an amount per teacher on or before September 1st each year for the purpose of providing a travel grant to teachers to attend the teachers' convention. 3. 7.3.1. Effective May 2, 2023, an allowance will be paid to each teacher under contract and actively teaching (excludes teachers on leaves of absence) with the School Division as of the date of the teachers' convention to attend such convention held in Edmonton.
