TEMPORARY CONTRACT TEACHERS. 1. The Employer shall appoint teachers on temporary contracts to positions which are temporarily vacant or temporarily existing. 2. A position which exists for more than two consecutive years shall be deemed not to be a position temporarily existing. 3. The Employer agrees to provide to the Local no later than October 15th in any school year a list of teachers hired on temporary contract for the school year, and a list of positions the Employer considers temporarily existing or temporarily vacant for the school year. 4. A teacher on temporary contract shall be granted a continuing contract of employment provided that the teacher has been employed under temporary contract for a minimum of twelve consecutive school months.

TEMPORARY CONTRACT TEACHERS. Teachers signing a Teacher's Temporary Contract for a period of one hundred seventy-five (175) days or more are eligible for eight (8) sick days, four (4) personal business leave days, and are eligible to participate in the Group Medical and Dental Insurance Plans. Temporary teachers shall receive their pay in twenty-one (21) equal installments. They may grieve only those sections of this Agreement in Article II, Salaries and Other Compensations, Sections 6 and 7; and the above-mentioned items. Those teachers who sign a temporary contract for less than one hundred seventy-five (175) days are eligible for benefits on a pro-rated basis, except no insurance benefits shall be provided.
TEMPORARY CONTRACT TEACHERS. 19.1: Temporary employees shall be entitled to the terms and conditions of this Agreement. 19.2: Compensation shall be paid in the same manner and in the same amount as regular unit members. 19.3: Any unit member classified as a temporary employee, who renders service for at least seventy-five percent (75%) of the number of days the regular schools were maintained in a given year, shall be deemed to have rendered service for a complete school year as a probationary employee if employed as a probationary employee for the following school year. 19.4: Temporary employees hired before October 15, for the entire year, shall be evaluated during the year of service.
TEMPORARY CONTRACT TEACHERS. The provision of this contract, in accordance with applicable Indiana statutes, are applicable to a teacher on a temporary contract.
TEMPORARY CONTRACT TEACHERS. The School Corporation agrees it will communicate with each teacher on a temporary contract during or before the month of May to determine his/her availability and interest, by grade level and subject preference, in obtaining a teaching position for the forthcoming school year. If such a teacher is among applicants for a position for the subsequent school year, the School Corporation agrees to recognize his/her previous employment through an interview and consideration. An employment preference list of all temporary contract teachers shall be maintained in all situations where there is more than one person on leave with the same licensure requirements. All temporary contract teachers shall move up the preference list if they have received unconditional recommendation for continued employment from their supervisors on the evaluation report for certificated staff. The Association may receive a temporary contract preference list upon request. Such requests shall be limited to two (2) annually. The Association and the teachers agree that this provision is in no way intended to restrict the School Corporation in employing those individuals that they consider to be most competent.
TEMPORARY CONTRACT TEACHERS. 1. Teachers employed on temporary contracts shall be notified of the opportunity to interview for rehire at the end of the school year. 2. Teachers employed on temporary contracts may be rehired for the ensuing school year without participating in the interview process.

  • Temporary Employee Employees may be hired for a specific term not to exceed six (6) months, to replace an employee who will be on approved leave of absence, absence due to WSIB disability, sick leave, long term disability or to perform a special non-recurring task. This term may be extended a further six (6) months on mutual agreement of the Union, employee and Hospital or by the Hospital on its own up to twelve (12) months where the leave of the person being replaced extends that far. The period of employment of such persons will not exceed the absentee's leave. The release or discharge of such persons shall not be the subject of a grievance or arbitration. This clause would not preclude such employees from using the job posting provision under the collective agreement and any successful applicant who has completed his probation period will be credited with the appropriate seniority. The Hospital will outline to employees selected to fill such temporary vacancies and the Union, the circumstances giving rise to the vacancy, and the special conditions relating to such employment.

  • Temporary Employees 3.3.1 A temporary employee is an employee who is hired for short-term work assignment which is not ongoing (i.e. normally 12 months or less and not extending beyond 24 months). The employee's benefits and working conditions are as per Article 34 (Temporary Employees).

  • Temporary Layoffs A. The Employer may initiate a temporary layoff for up to twelve (12) working days per fiscal year. Employees will be given thirty (30) days’ notice before the effective date of a temporary layoff. Employees may request alternative temporary layoff days from their manager or supervisor and any requests will be considered and approved or denied in writing. B. A temporary layoff will not affect an employee’s incremental movement, vacation and sick leave accrual rates, or seniority. C. A temporary layoff is leave without pay. An employee may not use any leave for a temporary layoff day(s).

  • Temporary Condemnation In the event of any temporary Condemnation of any Property or Tenant’s interest therein, this Agreement shall continue in full force and effect and Tenant shall continue to pay (or cause to be paid), in the manner and on the terms herein specified, the full amount of the Rent. Tenant shall continue to perform and observe (or cause to be performed and observed) all of the other terms and conditions of this Agreement on the part of the Tenant to be performed and observed. Provided no Event of Default has occurred and is continuing, the entire amount of any Award made for such temporary Condemnation allocable to the Term, whether paid by way of damages, rent or otherwise, shall be paid to Tenant. Tenant shall, promptly upon the termination of any such period of temporary Condemnation, at its sole cost and expense, restore the affected Property to the condition that existed immediately prior to such Condemnation, in material compliance with all applicable Legal Requirements, unless such period of temporary Condemnation shall extend beyond the expiration of the Term, in which event Tenant shall not be required to make such restoration.

  • Temporary Work Temporary work results from replacing a faculty member on leave, or assigned to other duties, or work that is a result of a time limited contract/project.

  • Temporary Layoff The Employer may temporarily layoff an employee for up to ninety (90) days due to an unanticipated loss of funding, revenue shortfall, lack of work, shortage of material or equipment, or other unexpected or unusual reasons. An employee will normally receive seven (7) days notice of a temporary layoff.

  • Temporary Employment Temporary service in a position immediately preceding certification to that position, without interruption, shall count towards satisfaction of the probationary period. It will also count toward benefits eligibility (without retroactivity for benefits) and pay progression requirements, provided the duties of the temporary and permanent assignments are the same.

  • Temporary Leave Teachers who are members of UTW, at the request of UTW, shall be granted leave to participate in certain UTW activities subject to and in accordance with policies of the Board and administrative guidelines.
