Assessments used to demonstrate growth must be appropriate, relevant, and may include both formative and summative measures. ● Not Satisfactory shall mean: ● Level 1: Unsatisfactory – Receiving a summative score of 1 is not considered satisfactory performance for all teachers. ● Level 2: Basic – If the classroom teacher on a continuing contract with more than five years of teaching experience receives a summative score of two (2) two years in a row, or two years within a consecutive three- year period, the teacher is not considered to be performing at a satisfactory level. ● Teacher shall mean any certificated staff member who spends more than fifty (50) percent of his or her school day providing academically-focused instruction and grades for students, and whose duties are consistent with the state criteria for teachers and the District’s framework and rubrics.
