Different Shift. A Displaced Nurse unable to retain a comparable FTE on the nurse's shift as provided above and who elects not to bump into the position of the least senior nurse on the shift, may bump into the position of the least senior nurse on another shift with a comparable FTE, or into the position of the least senior nurse on another shift, regardless of FTE but at least 24 hours per week so the nurse may retain benefits. Under 9.3.4.1 and 9.3.4.2, a nurse may choose at his/her discretion to bump into a position of less than 24 hours per week held by the least senior nurse on the applicable shift.

Different Shift. If no less senior positions are available on the displaced nurse’s shift, they, by seniority, may bump into the position(s), or reasonable combinations of positions, for which the nurse is qualified, held by the least senior nurse(s) in the Hospital. These “available” positions shall be made up of the positions held by the least senior nurses in the Hospital whose FTEs, combined with any open, posted positions are equivalent to the FTEs which have been eliminated. a) If a nurse is deemed unqualified to fill the position of the least senior nurse, the positions held by the next least senior nurses in the Hospital shall be made available for bumping. b) The Hospital shall provide a seniority list of all Bargaining Unit nurses.   • Night Shift Differential Unit 12 employees who regularly work shifts shall receive a night shift differential as set forth below: A. Employees shall qualify for the first night shift pay differential of forty (40) cents per hour where four (4) or more hours of the regularly scheduled work shift falls between 6 p.m. and 12 midnight. Where an employee is required to work additional overtime contiguous to an overtime shift within a twenty-four (24) hour period, the employee will be compensated at the rate of double time his or her straight time hourly rate for all additional contiguous overtime hours worked. Overtime premium will not be duplicated nor pyramided nor shall other premiums be duplicated nor pyramided nor shall the same hours worked be counted as part of the normal work week and also as hours for which the overtime premium is paid.

  • Wages and Classification Premiums Provisions under these headings shall remain unchanged and are repeated as 20.04, except to the extent that the Wage Schedule referred to in the hospital's expiring collective agreement shall be adjusted and retroactivity shall be paid in accordance with the Implementation Agreement signed.
