Discriminatory Practices Prohibited. Grantee shall not deny service, deny access, or otherwise discriminate against subscribers or general citizens on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, status as to public assistance, affectional preference, or disability. Grantee shall comply at all times with all other applicable federal, state, and local laws, and all executive and administrative orders relating to nondiscrimination.

Discriminatory Practices Prohibited. Franchisee will make its Cable Services available to all potential Subscribers passed by Franchisee’s Cable System based on the terms of this Agreement without discrimination and will not give any person any preference or advantage not available to all persons similarly situated, provided that nothing contained herein will prevent Franchisee from implementing credit, deposit and acceptance criteria or offering (a) the temporary reduction or waiving of rates or charges in conjunction with valid promotional campaigns; or, (b) reasonable discounts to senior citizens or economically disadvantaged citizens; or, (c) rate discounts for Cable Service; or, (d) different and nondiscriminatory rates and charges and classes of service for commercial subscribers or for bulk discounts to multiple dwelling units, as allowable by federal law and regulations.

The Grantee will not deny service, deny access, or otherwise unlawfully discriminate against Subscribers or persons on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, sex, age, disability, income, or, except as otherwise provided herein, the area in which such person lives. The Grantee will comply at all times with all applicable federal, state, or local laws, rules and regulations relating to nondiscrimination. B. The Grantee will use best efforts to assure maximum practical availability of Grantee’s services and facilities to all Subscribers, regardless of disability, including the provision of a remote-control device to those Subscribers who are mobility limited, or where a member of the Subscriber’s household is mobility limited. C. For hearing impaired customers, the Grantee, upon request, will provide information concerning the cost and availability of equipment to facilitate the reception of basic service for the hearing impaired. In addition, the Grantee must have TDD/TTY (or equivalent) equipment at the company office, and a publicly listed telephone number for such equipment, that will allow hearing impaired customers to contact the company. D. Upon request by a Subscriber or potential Subscriber, the Grantee will make a reasonable effort to provide information required under this franchise, or otherwise provided in the normal course of business, in both English and the primary language of the requestor. E. Nothing in this Section 12.1 will be construed to prohibit: (1) the temporary reduction or waiving of rates and charges in conjunction with promotional campaigns; or (2) Grantee from offering reasonable discounts to senior citizens or discounts to economically disadvantaged residents.

(3) Franchisee shall not deny access to telecommunication service or levy different rates and charges on any group of potential residential telecommunication Subscribers because of the income of the residents of the local area in which such group resides.

Discriminatory Practices Prohibited. (i) A Grantee shall not refuse cable television service or otherwise discriminate against any Person or organization who requests such service on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, creed or sex. A Grantee shall not, as to rates, charges, service facilities, rules, regulations or in any other respect, make or grant any unreasonable preference or advantage, nor subject any Person to any prejudice or disadvantage. The Grantee shall comply at all time with the Cable Act and all other applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, and all executive and administrative orders relating to non-discrimination which are hereby incorporated and made part of this Chapter by reference. (ii) This Section shall not be deemed to prohibit promotional rates for service introductions or temporary promotional discounts. This Section does not preclude a Grantee from offering special services or rates to senior citizens, or services to commercial Subscribers at rates different from those charged residential Subscribers, which shall include, but not be limited to, charges for installation on a time and material basis. The Grantee may also enter into separate contracts with multiple Dwelling Unit buildings and may charge discounted rates for services based upon single point billing or other contractual considerations.
Discriminatory Practices Prohibited. 4 No person, being the owner, lessee, proprietor, manager, superintendent, agent, or 5 employee of any place of public accommodation, resort, or amusement shall directly or indirectly 6 refuse, withhold from, or deny to any person on account of race or color, religion, country of 7 ancestral origin, disability, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or refusal of 8 the individual to receive a vaccine or to provide proof of vaccination, any of the accommodations, 9 advantages, facilities, or privileges of that public place. No person shall directly or indirectly 10 publish, circulate, issue, display, post, or mail any written, printed or painted communication, 11 notice, or advertisement, to the effect that any of the accommodations, advantages, facilities, and 12 privileges of any public accommodation place shall be refused, withheld from, or denied to any 13 person on account of race or color, religion, country of ancestral origin, disability, sex or sexual 14 orientation, gender identity or expression, or age or for refusal to be vaccinated or to provide proof 15 of vaccination or that the patronage or custom at that place of any person belonging to or purporting 16 to be of any particular race or color, religion, country of ancestralorigin, disability, age, sex, sexual 17 orientation, or vaccination status or gender identity or expression is unwelcome, objectionable, or 18 not acceptable, desired, or solicited. The production of any written, printed, or painted 1 communication, notice, or advertisement, purporting to relate to any public place and to be made 2 by any person being its owner, lessee, proprietor, superintendent, or manager, shall be presumptive 3 evidence in any action that its production was authorized by that person.
Discriminatory Practices Prohibited. Contractor agrees that their hiring practices, internal policies and procedures, and the rendering of Contractor’s Services, as more fully described in the Scope of Services, Addendum B, as amended, as well as Addendum D, shall comply with all federal, state, and local laws against discrimination under any protected category. Contractor must meet all grant guidelines and be free of discriminatory practices related to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation or gender identity), national origin, disability, age or genetic information (including family medical history).
