Donated Sick Time Clause Samples
Donated Sick Time. Employees may receive donated sick time from any bargaining and non-bargaining unit employee. The person donating sick time must have five (5) years of service with the City prior to donating. An employee may only receive a maximum of twenty-four (24) hours per donor within a rolling twelve (12) month period. The donated sick time may only be used for FMLA qualifying events. Donated sick time shall not be used for intermittent leave.
Donated Sick Time. Bargaining unit members may also receive donated sick time from any bargaining and non- bargaining unit employee. The bargaining unit member making the donation shall be employed with the City for more than five (5) years. A bargaining unit member needs to have used all of their accruals (sick, annual, personal) prior to any donated sick time being used. Donated Sick Time. 502 1. A classified professional who has used all of his or her personal leave and 503 needs additional days due to a catastrophic condition suffered by a spouse or 504 dependent child may apply for catastrophic leave.
505 2. The classified professional must apply with the Associate Superintendent for 506 Human Resources/designee to receive the voluntary donation of sick days 507 from other classified professionals. Up to thirty (30) days may be requested 508 in a twelve-month period.
509 3. Classified professionals may voluntarily donate unused sick leave provided 510 they maintain more than fifty (50) sick days after any donation. Classified 511 professionals must notify the Associate Superintendent for Human 512 Resources/designee in writing of the request to donate days to a specific 513 classified professional. Classified professionals may donate an annual 514 515 maximum of five sick days.
Donated Sick Time. In addition, any Employee shall have the right to transfer any number of days from his/her accumulated sick time to another Employee, if the recipient Employee has exhausted his/her accumulated sick time. This donated sick time shall be credited to the account of the recipient Employee at the dollar value of the donating Employee. Unused hours shall be returned to the donor(s). No Employee may donate more time to the sick leave bank than can actually be utilized and/or for which the City is obligated to compensate at the time the donation is made.
Donated Sick Time. Members of the Police Department shall have the right to transfer from their Sick Time Account any number of days they may wish to another Member's Sick Time Account with the approval of the Chief and the President of the Union, if the recipient Member has a deficit in his/her Sick Time Account.
