Dual Qualification. Employees hired after January 1, 2014 all employees shall become “dual qualified” in order to perform equipment operations. Temporary assignment of one week or more can only be made when the regularly assigned operator is not available for work or the carrier obtains a new piece of equipment requiring an additional operator. This mandate does not apply to employees holding a Signal Maintainer position.
Dual Qualification. No Pilot shall be required to maintain qualification on more than one Type of equipment.
