Duty Assignment After Treatment. Once a member successfully completes rehabilitation, he/she shall be returned to his/her regular duty assignment, provided (1) the member is then in compliance with Section 17.9 or 17.11, whichever applies, and (2) a member may not be returned to an assignment within five (5) years which poses an unusually high risk of exposure to a controlled substance or alcohol for which they have been treated (e.g., vice, narcotics).
