Earned Discretionary Leave. Teachers shall be awarded one day of leave with pay to be used for purposes determined by the teacher for each year in which the teacher used no sick leave. The accrual of such leave shall be limited to a maximum of four (4) days. Earned Discretionary Leave shall be awarded in the year following the year in which the teacher used no sick leave. In the event that a teacher accrues the maximum leave limit, four (4) days, and continues to not use sick leave and maintains the maximum accrued leave, that teacher shall be awarded one day of additional pay as follows: pay not to exceed the current daily pay rate for licensed substitute teachers as established annually by the Oregon Department of Education. Use of such leave shall be mutually scheduled in a manner that protects the effective and efficient operation of schools. The teacher has an obligation to attempt to schedule the absence as soon as they know they will be accessing the leave provision. Teachers who leave the District voluntarily, shall be compensated for Accrued Discretionary Leave at the current daily licensed substitute pay rate. Voluntary Contributions to the Association-Administered Voluntary Sick Leave Pool does not disqualify an employee from Earned Discretionary Leave.

  • UNPAID DISCRETIONARY LEAVE 1. a. An employee shall be entitled to a minimum of three (3) days of unpaid discretionary leave each year.

  • Discretionary Leave 7.7.1 The employer may, where there are special circumstances, xxxxx discretionary leave with or without pay to any principal during periods when the school is officially open for instruction, provided that such leave does not unreasonably impinge upon the operational requirements of the school.   • Vacation Leave Accrual ‌ After a full-time employee has been in pay status for eighty (80) non-overtime hours in a calendar month, the employee will accrue vacation leave according to the rate schedule below. Vacation leave accrual for part-time employees will be proportionate to the number of hours the part-time employee is in pay status during the month to that required for full-time employment.

  • Deferred Salary Leave Each employer ratifying this Agreement will establish or, as necessary, review and update a deferred salary leave plan consistent with Regulations issued by Canada Revenue Agency under the Income Tax Act. The parties may use the Application, Agreement, and Approval Form as a template (see Appendix H) for the deferred salary leave plan.

  • Maximum Vacation Accrual Employees may accrue vacation up to a maximum of two hundred forty (240) hours. An employee who has reached the maximum accrual level may continue to accrue vacation until his or her next anniversary date, at which time any vacation accrued in addition to the two hundred forty (240) hour maximum accrual will be extinguished. With the written approval of the appropriate Vice President, an employee may accrue more than two hundred forty (240) hours of vacation when he or she is precluded from taking a previously scheduled vacation because of University needs. Any such written approval will specify a timeline for the employee to use any excess vacation accrual, after which any excess vacation accrual will be extinguished.

  • Parental Leave/Adoption Leave An employee will be granted unpaid parental leave for a period up to and including thirty-five (35) weeks, upon request and verification of:

  • Amount of Employer Contribution The Employer Contribution amounts and rules in effect on June 30, 2017 will continue through December 31, 2017.

  • Employer Compensation Upon Separation An Employee, upon her separation from employment, shall compensate the Employer for vacation which was taken but to which she was not entitled.

  • ’ Compensation Leave If such determination cannot readily be made and all healthcare leave or annual leave subject to 100% payoff has been applied to the absence, the employee shall be placed on Official Leave until a final determination is made.
