Earning Overtime. Employees shall be paid overtime compensation at the rate of 1.5 times their regular rate of pay when required to work holidays, or in excess of the employee’s regularly scheduled hours per day or more than 40 hours in a workweek. All paid leave shall be regarded as hours worked for purposes of computing entitlement to overtime.

Earning Overtime. Any Member shall be paid one and one-half (1 1/2) times his regular straight time hourly rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of: a) eight hours (for Members assigned to eight hour shifts) on a Member’s workday; b) ten hours (for Members assigned to ten hour shifts) on a Member’s workday; or, c) forty hours in a Member’s work week.

  • Weekly Overtime An Employee required to work in excess of forty (40) hours per week shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1 ½ X) for the first eight (8) hours of work in excess of the forty

  • Overtime Overtime will begin to accrue after sixty (60) hours in a two (2) week period averaged over the scheduling period determined by the local parties. Overtime will apply if the employee works in excess of the normal daily hours. Payment for overtime is as in Article 16.01.

  • Computation of Overtime In computing overtime a period of thirty (30) minutes or less shall be counted as one-half (½) hour and a period of more than thirty (30) minutes but less than sixty (60) minutes shall be counted as one (1) hour.

  • Compensation for Overtime 9.5.1 All overtime hours, except those overtime hours exceeding twelve (12) hours in one day, shall be compensated at a rate of pay equal to time and one-half the regular rate of pay of the employee. Those overtime hours exceeding twelve (12) in one day shall be compensated at a rate of pay equal to two times the regular pay of the employee.

  • Banked Overtime In the event the day in lieu of working the statutory holiday is not provided as stipulated in 8.01.04, this portion may also be banked.

  • Voluntary Overtime In the event that the Employer’s reasonable effort to avoid overtime is not successful, and the Employer has knowledge of the overtime requirement at least three (3) hours in advance, the Employer will first offer the overtime work, on a seniority basis, to qualified employees who have indicated in writing a willingness to work overtime. It is understood that if there is no availability form on file for an employee, the Employer has no obligation to contact that employee to work additional hours. If the Employer has knowledge of the overtime requirement less than three (3) hours in advance, the Employer’s obligation will be limited to offering the overtime work in order of seniority to qualified employees on duty in the affected unit or classification. The Employer will make a reasonable effort to arrange for voluntary sharing between employees of the overtime requirement prior to invoking mandatory overtime. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Employer retains the right to select a less senior employee whose overtime rate will be at time and one-half, if the more senior employee’s overtime rate for any of the overtime hours to be worked will be at double- time, or to replace an employee at the point that he or she would be working on less than ten (10) hours’ rest on the employee’s next scheduled shift.

  • Overtime Computation Computation of overtime will be rounded upward to the nearest one-tenth (1/10th) of an hour.
