Eight Hour Shifts. Job Sharing, for the purpose of this Agreement, shall be defined as the sharing of the hours and the responsibilities of a seven (7) day work week (seven shifts of 7.5 hours shifts in each pay week) by two (2) existing employees in the same classification: one (1) full-time employee and one (1) part-time employee. Job Sharing, for the purpose of this Agreement, shall be defined as the sharing of the hours and the responsibilities of twenty (20) extended hours shifts (11.25 hours) in three (3) bi-weekly pay periods by two (2) existing employees in the same classification: one
(1) full-time employee and one (1) part-time employee.
Eight Hour Shifts. A Nurse who is requested by the Employer to report back to work on a scheduled day off with less than six (6) hours’ notice will be paid one and one-half (1 ½) times the regular hourly rate of pay with a guaranteed minimum of four (4) hours, if not canceled one hour before the start of the shift. A Nurse requested to report to work prior to the normal starting time of her/his assigned shift will be paid one and one-half times the regular hourly rate for all early hours worked. Once the Nurse’s regularly scheduled shift begins, the Nurse will be paid at the regular hourly rate for all hours worked in the regularly scheduled shift.
Eight Hour Shifts. No employee shall be compelled to work more than seven (7) consecutive day shifts or more than six (6) consecutive evening or night shifts unless otherwise agreed by mutual consent between the employee and his/her supervisor. This clause shall not apply to those consecutive shifts worked at the request of the employee.
Eight Hour Shifts. Members assigned to an eight (8) hours per day, five (5) day work week schedule who work in excess of forty (40) hours per work week or in excess of eight (8) hours per work day shall be paid overtime at the rate of one and one-half (1 ½) times the member’s regular hourly rate, with the exception of call-back compensation and court time as described in this Article.
Eight Hour Shifts. The hours of work shall consist of five (5) shifts on consecutive days as follows:
1) Forty (40) hours of work will be scheduled and divided into five (5) eight (8) hour shifts of work.
2) Employees shall receive a twenty (20) minute paid lunch break during their normal work day and two (2) paid breaks each of fifteen (15) minutes duration.
3) One fifteen (15) minute paid rest break will be observed in the first half of each shift for each employee and one fifteen (15) minute paid rest break will be observed on the second half of each shift for each employee.
Eight Hour Shifts. 1. The normal work week for payroll purposes shall be a forty (40) hour work week beginning at 11 p.m. Sunday for rotating shifts and at 12 midnight Sunday for fixed shifts and special shifts.
2. The normal work day shall consist of eight (8) hours of work.
3. The normal hours for rotating shift workers are: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., and 11
4. The normal hours for fixed shift workers are from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a thirty (30) minute nonpaid lunch period, 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., and 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Fixed shift schedules will provide for two (2) consecutive scheduled days off.
Eight Hour Shifts. An Employee who is assigned to work on eight (8)-hour shifts will be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times the Employee's regular rate of pay for all hours worked after the first eight (8) hours in a workday or over eighty (80) hours in a pay period and two (2) times his/her regular rate of pay for all hours worked after the first twelve (12) hours in a workday.
Eight Hour Shifts. (i) The normal work day shall consist of three (3) eight (8) hour shifts 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The provisions of this Article are intended only to provide a basis for determining the number of hours of work for which an employee shall be entitled to be paid at overtime rates and shall not be construed as a guarantee of any specific number of hours of work either by day or by week.
(ii) All authorized hours worked in excess of the regular daily work hours (eight (8) hours) shall be paid at the overtime rate of time and one-half for the first three (3) hours and double time thereafter Monday to Friday inclusive. Time and one- half will be paid to such employees for the first four (4) hours of authorized work on a scheduled day off. Double time will be paid to such employees for authorized work in excess of four (4) hours on a scheduled day off, and for all hours worked on a second successive day off.
(iii) Such employees on a continuous shift schedule required to work on a Saturday or Sunday will be paid time and one- half.
Eight Hour Shifts. I. Generally, subject to operational requirements, full-time employees will be scheduled for forty (40) hours per week.
II. Overtime will be paid at time and one-half (1.5X) per hour for hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours or forty (40) hours in a week.
III. Full-time Employees on the payroll as of the date of ratification will be guaranteed two (2) consecutive days off per week. This includes Part-time employees that become full-time after ratification with an original date of hire that is prior to the date of ratification. The Company may require up to 20% of employees in the Distribution department to not have consecutive days off by seniority.
Eight Hour Shifts. If a Holiday listed above falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the Company will substitute the holiday on preceding or following work day. There will be no substitute day for a Holiday for employees working on twelve hour shifts. The holiday will observed on the day on which it Vacation with pay will in employees than years continuous service two (2) weeks at percent (4%); employees with years of continuous weeks at six percent (6%): years at with over continuous (4) (8%): employees with twenty (20) continuous service five weeks at (10%). The vacation year shall be July to 30th of he permitted accumulate from one vacalion year another.
