Eight Hour Shifts. Job Sharing, for the purpose of this Agreement, shall be defined as the sharing of the hours and the responsibilities of a seven (7) day work week (seven shifts of 7.5 hours shifts in each pay week) by two (2) existing employees in the same classification: one (1) full-time employee and one (1) part-time employee. Job Sharing, for the purpose of this Agreement, shall be defined as the sharing of the hours and the responsibilities of twenty (20) extended hours shifts (11.25 hours) in three (3) bi-weekly pay periods by two (2) existing employees in the same classification: one (1) full-time employee and one (1) part-time employee.

Eight Hour Shifts. A Nurse who is requested by the Employer to report back to work on a scheduled day off with less than six (6) hours’ notice will be paid one and one-half (1 ½) times the regular hourly rate of pay with a guaranteed minimum of four (4) hours, if not canceled one hour before the start of the shift. A Nurse requested to report to work prior to the normal starting time of her/his assigned shift will be paid one and one-half times the regular hourly rate for all early hours worked. Once the Nurse’s regularly scheduled shift begins, the Nurse will be paid at the regular hourly rate for all hours worked in the regularly scheduled shift.
Eight Hour Shifts. No employee shall be compelled to work more than seven (7) consecutive day shifts or more than six (6) consecutive evening or night shifts unless otherwise agreed by mutual consent between the employee and his/her supervisor. This clause shall not apply to those consecutive shifts worked at the request of the employee.

Eight Hour Shifts. (i) The normal work day shall consist of three (3) eight (8) hour shifts 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The provisions of this Article are intended only to provide a basis for determining the number of hours of work for which an employee shall be entitled to be paid at overtime rates and shall not be construed as a guarantee of any specific number of hours of work either by day or by week. (ii) All authorized hours worked in excess of the regular daily work hours (eight (8) hours) shall be paid at the overtime rate of time and one-half for the first three (3) hours and double time thereafter Monday to Friday inclusive. Time and one- half will be paid to such employees for the first four (4) hours of authorized work on a scheduled day off. Double time will be paid to such employees for authorized work in excess of four (4) hours on a scheduled day off, and for all hours worked on a second successive day off. (iii) Such employees on a continuous shift schedule required to work on a Saturday or Sunday will be paid time and one- half.
Eight Hour Shifts. I. Generally, subject to operational requirements, full-time employees will be scheduled for forty (40) hours per week. II. Overtime will be paid at time and one-half (1.5X) per hour for hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours or forty (40) hours in a week. III.
