Effective July 1, 2023. (a) A scale increase of 1% will be applied to the maxima and the minima salaries and to each salary referenced at each step of the current salary grid.
(b) Each employee, except an employee whose salary at June 30, 2023 was at or above the maximum for their grade, will be moved up to the next step within their grade.
Effective July 1, 2023 the salary schedules shall be increased by a percentage equal to 40% the actually-received COLA in the adopted budget. By way of example, if the actually-received COLA is 4%, salaries would increase by 1.6%.
Effective July 1, 2023. Subject to the applicable provisions of Chapter 87A and 89, Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes, the Employer shall pay monthly contributions which include the cost of any Hawaiʻi Employer-Union Health Benefits Trust Fund (Trust Fund) administrative fees to the Trust Fund effective July 1, 2023, not to exceed the monthly contribution amounts as specified below:
(1) For each Employee-Beneficiary with no dependent-beneficiaries enrolled in the following Trust Fund health benefits plans:
a. Medical (PPO or HMO) (medical, drug, & chiro) $453.36 b. Dental $21.48
Effective July 1, 2023. (a) Upon completion of the probationary period, Regular Employees may contribute up to four percent (4%) of their basic hourly rate of pay into a self-directed RRSP for all hours worked. Employee’s contributions will be on a voluntary basis with decisions to participate or not made once a year for a twelve-month period. For each Employee contributing into the plan in any twelve-month period the Employer will contribute a matching percentage of the Employee's basic hourly rate of pay for all hours worked on behalf of participating Employees. Employees may choose to make additional contributions to the Pension Plan. Such additional contributions will not be matched by the Employer. Employees may choose to make such additional contributions, or not, effective for August 1, of each year. The Employee must give the Employer a minimum of thirty (30) days written notice.
