EMPLOYEE RIGHTS, SHOP XXXXXXX RESPONSIBILITIES. AND UNION BUSINESS‌‌‌ 15.1 The City and the Union agree that they will not discriminate against any employee by reason of race, color, age, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, political ideology, creed, religion, ancestry, or national origin; Union activities; or the presence of any sensory, mental or physical disability, unless based on a bona fide occupational qualification reasonably necessary to the normal operation of the City. Disputes involving this section of this Article may be processed through an appropriate agency and/or the third step of the grievance procedure, but shall not be subject for arbitration. Use of the grievance procedure may precede the initiation of any other official action involving such a dispute. 15.2 Words denoting gender in this agreement are intended to apply equally to either sex. 15.3 The Staff Representative of the Union may, after notifying the City official in charge, visit the work location of employees covered by this Agreement at any reasonable time for the purpose of investigating grievances. Such representative shall limit their activities during such investigations for a reasonable period of time and to matters relating to this Agreement. City work hours shall not be used by employees or Union Representatives for the conduct of Union business or the promotion of Union affairs. 15.4 The Union shall have the right to appoint a xxxxxxx at any location where members are employed under the terms of this Agreement. The department shall be furnished with the names of stewards so appointed. Immediately after appointment of its Shop Xxxxxxx(s) and Local Union Officer(s) who may serve as Stewards, the Union shall furnish the Director of Labor Relations with a list of those employees who have been designated as Shop Stewards and Local Union Officer(s) who may serve as Stewards. Said list shall be updated as needed. The Xxxxxxx shall see that the provisions of this Agreement are observed, and they shall be allowed reasonable time to perform these duties during regular working hours without suffering a loss in pay.   • EMPLOYEE RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES A. A secretary shall strive for excellence in his/her work, and take advantage of opportunities for continually improving his/her skills and relationships with the Board, co-workers, and the public. B. The Association and individual members thereof, agree to uphold and honor the policies, rules, regulations and practices of the Board and sections of this Agreement. Neither the Association, its representatives, nor any member, shall assume administrative or supervisory authority or direct employees to disregard the instructions or directions of the Board unless the Board is limited by this Agreement. C. Secretaries are responsible for maintaining a continuous high level of service to the welfare and benefit of the school district. Secretaries, therefore, are responsible for discharging their work assignments with proficiency and making a conscientious effort to meet all the duties of their positions. D. No Association representative, or secretary, shall engage in Association activities or business during employee working hours, without Board approval. E. The Association is hereby granted the right to reasonable use of school premises for its business meetings, after receiving prior approval from the Board, and providing it pays any overtime costs which may be incurred by the District. F. The Association may have reasonable use of the District's mail service and mailboxes for its business and social event announcements and may post notices on a part of the school bulletin boards in building lounges, provided all such announcements and notices contain the name of the Association officer or representative authorizing the same. G. Nothing in this Contract shall be construed to deny or restrict an employee's rights under the Michigan General School Laws, or applicable civil laws. The rights granted in this Contract are deemed to be in addition to those provided elsewhere. This paragraph is not deemed grievable under the grievance procedure herein. H. When the Board disciplines employees, it will not be arbitrary or unreasonable. No Seniority bargaining unit member shall be disciplined without just cause. I. A suspended or discharged seniority employee will be allowed to discuss his/her suspension or discharge with the President or Vice President for up to thirty (30) minutes. Nothing contained herein, however, shall prevent the Board from requiring the summary removal of the offending employee, if it appears that the safety of any person, property, or the maintenance of order requires such summary removal. J. The purpose of the installation of cameras/monitors is to increase the safety and security in that building. The Association, upon request, is entitled to information detailing where cameras/monitors are located in each building. It is specifically understood that surveillance equipment (i.e. cameras) cannot be used for purposes of staff evaluation or monitoring. It is understood that situations may arise warranting review of video. If any incident of illegal activity of staff is observed on the video, the Association will be immediately notified and will be given the opportunity to review the tape(s) within three (3) days of receipt of the notice.

  • Employee Responsibility Each employee is responsible for the care and maintenance of such equipment. The Company retains the right to inspect the equipment at any time and to require the employee to provide an accounting of any loss or abuse.

  • Your Rights and Our Responsibilities After We Receive Your Written Notice We must acknowledge your letter within 30 days, unless we have corrected the error by then. Within 90 days, we must either correct the error or explain why we believe the bill was correct. After we receive your letter, we cannot try to collect any amount you question, or report you as delinquent. We can continue to bill you for the amount you question, including finance charges and we can apply any unpaid amount against your credit limit. You do not have to pay any questioned amount while we are investigating, but you are still obligated to pay the parts of your bill that are not in question. If we find that we made a mistake on your bill, you will not have to pay any finance charges related to any questioned amount. If we didn’t make a mistake, you may have to pay finance charges, and you will have to make up any missed payments on the questioned amount. In either case, we will send you a statement of the amount you owe and the date that it is due. If you fail to pay the amount that we think you owe, we may report you as delinquent. However, if our explanation does not satisfy you and you write to us within ten days telling us that you still refuse to pay, we must tell anyone we report you to that you have a question about your bill. In addition, we must tell you the name of anyone we reported you to. Upon settlement of a disputed bill, we must notify anyone we reported you to that the matter has been settled. If we don’t follow these rules, we can’t collect the first $50 of the questioned amount, even if your bill was correct.

  • Licensee Responsibilities a. Licensee understands and agrees that all decisions regarding the tax treatment of items reflected on Tax Returns prepared by Licensee using the Software are made solely by Licensee and that use of the Software does not relieve Licensee of responsibility for the preparation, accuracy, content, and review of such Tax Returns. b. Licensee acknowledges that Licensee does not rely upon Drake for advice regarding the appropriate tax treatment of items reflected on Tax Returns prepared and/or processed using the Software. Licensee will review any computations made by the Software and satisfy Licensee that those computations and reporting are correct. c. Licensee is responsible for the keying of all information accurately into the Software, including but not limited to direct deposit information as it pertains to taxpayers’ data for receiving refunds. d. Licensee agrees to abide by and comply with all regulations and laws which pertain to the commercial preparation and electronic filing of Tax Returns, including but not limited to IRS Regulations, publications and other applicable laws. It is a violation of this Agreement AND applicable law for Licensee to falsely indicate to Drake that Licensee has obtained taxpayer’s Code 26 CFR §301.7216 compliant “Consent to e. Licensee agrees not to use the Software or any of Drake’s services for any illegal, fraudulent or otherwise improper purpose. These may include, but are not limited to misrepresenting taxpayer information, falsely representing identities, activities that may circumvent security measures, technical or regulatory requirements or other IRS or State non-compliant activities. If it is determined, in Drake’s sole discretion, Licensee is non- compliant with this Section 4(e), or Licensee has attempted to misrepresent, mislead or otherwise provide false representation(s) as to its compliance with this or any other provision of this Agreement, Licensee shall forfeit all rights to use the Software or services of Drake provided in this Agreement, including but not limited to any rights to refunds of any monies paid to Drake. f. Licensee is solely responsible for the backup and retention of all data, unless such responsibility is specifically accepted by Drake. g. Licensee agrees to provide Drake a copy of Licensee’s completed E-File Application Summary, or other documentation required by Drake regarding ownership of an EFIN used with the Software by Licensee, prior to using the electronic filing services of Drake. Licensee understands that in order to use the electronic filing services of Drake or the IRS a valid EFIN must be obtained and maintained as current from the IRS. h. Licensee shall be responsible for acquiring and maintaining an information technology infrastructure with sufficient capabilities to operate the Software and comply with all provisions of this Agreement. i. Licensee shall not decompile, reverse assemble, or reverse engineer any Software or other information disclosed to Licensee hereunder. j. Licensee shall be responsible for complying with all export controls relating to the Software. k. Licensee shall be responsible to safeguard and prevent unauthorized access to Taxpayer Data. Licensee shall be responsible to secure usernames and passwords that allow access to Taxpayer Data. l. Licensee acknowledges that by using a computer system and the Software to prepare and transmit Tax Returns electronically, Licensee consents to the disclosure of all information relating to its use of the computer system and the Software to generate Tax Returns and to the electronic transmission of Tax Returns to the state and/or federal agency as applicable under existing law. m. Licensee acknowledges and consents to Drake’s collection through use of the Software of non-Tax Return related data and information, including IP address, device and system identifications, and other information required by Drake for its internal business purposes, fraud prevention, data privacy, and maintaining the security and integrity of the tax system and/or the Software.

  • Employer Responsibilities Recognizing the inherent risk(s) in a correctional setting, the Employer is obligated to provide a safe workplace and to educate employees on proper safety procedures and use of protective and safety equipment. The Employer is committed to responding to legitimate safety concerns raised by the Union and employees. The Employer will comply with federal and state safety standards, including requirements relating to first aid training, first aid equipment and the use of protective devices and equipment.

  • Employee’s Responsibility WORK START TIME

  • Customer Responsibilities Notwithstanding the above, Customer agrees that except as provided by this DPA, Customer is responsible for its secure use of the Services, including securing its account authentication credentials, protecting the security of Customer Data when in transit to and from the Services and taking any appropriate steps to securely encrypt or backup any Customer Data uploaded to the Services.

  • MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES 6.01 Except to the extent provided herein, this Agreement in no way restricts the authority of those charged with managerial responsibilities in the public service.

  • User Responsibilities i. Users are required to follow good security practices in the selection and use of passwords; ii. Users shall ensure that unattended equipment is protected; and iii. Users shall adopt a clear desk policy for papers and removable storage media and a clear screen policy for information processing facilities.
