Environmental and Social Management Plan or ESMP means a documented plan or strategy specifying the measures that will be taken to ensure that social and environmental impacts, risks, and liabilities identified during the ESIA or other analytical process are effectively mitigated, managed, and monitored during the construction, operation, and closure of the proposed project. Environmental and Social Management System or ESMS means a set of policies, procedures, tools, and capacities to identify and manage the environmental and social risks, of the compact activities, which may include environmental and social management plans. ERR has the meaning provided in paragraph 3 of Xxxxx XXX. Evaluation Component has the meaning provided in paragraph 1 of Xxxxx XXX.

Environmental and Social Management Plan. (ESMP) means a plan or set of plans, in form and content satisfactory to the IDB, setting forth for each Capital Expenditure (except for the ERP Project), or any additional or substitute project approved by the IDB for financing with the proceeds of the Loan, the environmental and social aspects to be addressed, the objectives, targets and actions proposed to address them, the indicators to be used in monitoring performance under such plan, and the procedures, human resources and budget allocated for their implementation in accordance with the Environmental and Social Requirements. Loan Agreement Loan No. 2028A/OC-AR Environmental and Social Monitoring Agreement means any agreements as entered into from time to time among the Borrowers, IDB and an Environmental and Social Consultant for monitoring of Environmental or Social Matters and compliance with Environmental and Social Requirements under this Agreement.

Recognising the dynamic nature of the project development and implementation process, the ESMPs will be responsive to changes in project circumstances, unforeseen events, regulatory changes and the results of monitoring and review, and will be updated from time to time.
Environmental and Social Management Plan. Within 42 days of Commencement, the Contractor shall submit a Project Specific Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) for approval of the Engineer. The Contractor must carry out all works in accordance with Kenyan Environmental Laws and Regulations, and the requirements of this document. It is also a contractual obligation for the Contractor to take full cognizance of the environmental and social concerns and requirements as stipulated in the Employer's Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) prepared for this Project and which is given in the Particular Specifications. The full Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) Report will also be issued to the Contractor on Award. Accordingly, the Contractor shall be required to prepare a site-specific Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) for the project. This site-specific ESMP shall be based on the Contractor's evaluation of the requirements of these Specifications and the Employer's ESMP. The site-specific ESMP shall be submitted to the Engineer for approval within 42 days of Commencement. The site-specific ESMP shall generally comply with the guidelines set out below. The site-specific ESMP is the Contractor's operative document on how to enforce, mitigate, inspect and monitor potential Project impacts during mobilization, construction and demobilization. In this sense, it is an eminently practical and concrete instrument. Based on the above, the structure and content of the site-specific ESMP shall emphasize the following aspects:

  • Environmental, Health and Safety i. Environment, Health and Safety Performance. Seller acknowledges and accepts full and sole responsibility to maintain an environment, health and safety management system ("EMS") appropriate for its business throughout the performance of this Contract. Buyer expects that Seller’s EMS shall promote health and safety, environmental stewardship, and pollution prevention by appropriate source reduction strategies. Seller shall convey the requirement of this clause to its suppliers. Seller shall not deliver goods that contain asbestos mineral fibers.

  • Health and Safety Contractor shall perform any and all of its obligations under this Contract in a manner that does not compromise the health and safety of any DSHS client with whom the Contractor has contact.

  • Environment, Health, and Safety 24.4.1. The Supplier and its staff (and/or any sub-supplier and/or subcontractor) shall comply with the laws and regulations in force related to protection of the environment, the health and safety instructions applicable to the Goods and Services performed pursuant to the Contract and especially, if appropriate, to the Goodsand Services performedon any Site by a third company.
