Evacuation Procedure. On hearing the evacuation signal (continuous note) make safe welding equipment, naked flames etc, and leave the building by the nearest FIRE EXIT (make sure you know your escape route, if in doubt ask the Control Room). When evacuating the building - DO NOT RUN - particularly on stairs. Once out of the building, move away from the exit immediately and assemble on the pavement. Inform a member of security that you are present and that equipment has been made safe. Inform them of any gas or flammable substances that you have left behind.
Evacuation Procedure. Plans for evacuation will be included in each department's periodic safety talks to ensure the safe evacuation of plant personnel in the event of an emergency. In addition, a severe weather Single Point Lesson (SPL) that includes shelter-in-place locations and procedures will be provided to all employees prior to April 15th each year. Concerns with exposure to cold weather in areas of the plant near doors and docks may be directed to the Safety Department. Safety will monitor the cold weather exposure and implement corrective actions as required. Actions may include but are not limited to issuing personal protective equipment (e.g. winter clothing), providing additional heaters, repairing equipment, etc.
Evacuation Procedure. The Tornado Alert and Plant Evacuation Procedure will be printed in the Local Agreement. Video presentations explaining evacuation routes and shelter areas will be updated where appropriate and shown over the in-plant communications system during the Spring season. Live drills will be performed on an annual basis when practical.
Evacuation Procedure. 15.1 Attached to this Hire Agreement is the Hastings Sports Centre Evacuation Scheme which is a requirement of the Fire & Safety of Buildings Regulation Act 1992. 16.0
Evacuation Procedure. The fire alarm is a continuous ringing of the school bell. If this sounds, students should walk in silence to the designated assembly point on the school field at the rear of the main building. Registers will be taken, and students should remain in silence and await further instructions.
Evacuation Procedure. The Tenant will post an evacuation route, which includes a primary and secondary route, and keep it current. In an evacuation, the Tenant's employees will go to a pre-selected area in the parking lot, at least 250 feet from the building. All personnel will be accounted for by the Tenant. Whenever Tenant calls for an evacuation, the emergency must be reported on 4-3333 so that appropriate emergency personnel can respond.
Evacuation Procedure. The fire exits are clearly marked and consist of the two end stairways leading to the rear exit door and the side exit door. The trained person in charge must establish if one or both of the stairways and access to exit doors are clear and safe to use (i.e. clear of smoke and fire) before instructing the members to exit the building and assembling in the Church garden/car park if safe to do so. The appointed person must contact the Fire Brigade (999) and one of the Church authorised persons (see below).
Evacuation Procedure. The Evacuation Plan requires that students/staff leave the building and go to another location either on or off school grounds. The assembly locations following building evacuation will depend on the nature of the emergency. Reasons for evacuation may include disaster, fire, bomb threat, chemical release or fallen aircraft. Teachers/staff will supervise the students with whom they are working at the time. Everyone should wait outside the building for an all- clear signal before returning to the building. Schools will refer to the Hope Academy Safety and Security Plan when an evacuation is needed. • The plan is as follows: Evacuate as you ordinarily would during a fire drill in an orderly fashion and out the same exits. Students will wait in the same area away from the building as they do in a fire drill. In the event of inclement weather or if building re-entry is not permitted, the Lower School will be evacuated to the Upper School gym and vice versa.
Evacuation Procedure. As the major hazard is only due to fire, which has more or less localized impact no mass evacuation procedures are required. Evacuation would involve only the people working very close to the fire area.
Evacuation Procedure. On discovering an emergency (e.g. a fire, gas leak, etc.) any person can raise an alarm by activating any of the red coloured call points located at the exits. This will then sound the alarm throughout the building.
