Examinations and Appointments. 1. Whenever it is decided during the school year to fill any positions in the School District below the rank of Assistant Superintendent, notice of all exami­ nations as well as the requirements for such positions, shall be posted in advance in all schools in a prescribed, appropriate place in each school so that applicants may know whether they qualify and will be given a reasonable opportunity to apply for the position. All positions for which appointment and/or assignment decisions are made during the summer months will be posted in all schools which are open, in Network Offices and in the Administration Building. Copies of such postings shall simultaneously be sent to the Federation.

Job opportunity flyers and notices of grants and special program opportu­ nities for which employees may apply for participation shall be posted, when administratively possible, at least three (3) weeks prior to the closing date for applications. Such material shall carry the date of posting and the closing date.

  • Joint Appointments 22A.09 When sound academic reasons exist for doing so, a Faculty Member may be appointed jointly to two (2) or more Academic Departments or Faculties. Such appointments shall be at the same rank, of the same type and with the same salary rate, in the Academic Departments or Faculties concerned. When sound academic reasons exist for doing so, a Faculty Member may be appointed jointly to an Academic Department and to a non-academic unit within the University. The Faculty Member shall have his/her rank, type of appointment, academic component of salary, credit for previous experience, promotion eligibility and other academic conditions determined on the same basis as for other Faculty Members. If such Faculty Members commence working entirely in one (1) Academic Department, their salary shall be in accordance with this Collective Agreement.

  • Medical Appointments Medical appointments may be charged to sick leave. The employee must notify the supervisor of a medical appointment at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance except in case of emergency.

  • Visiting Appointments A "visiting" appointment is one made to a person having appropriate professional qualifications but not expected to be available for more than a limited period, or to a person in a position which the University does not expect to be available for more than a limited period.   • Adjunct Appointments The use of adjuncts at a university shall, upon the request of the UFF Chapter representatives, be a subject of consultation under the provisions of Article 2.1, Consultation.

  • Term Appointments 16.3.4.1 A Term appointment carries no implication of renewal or continuation beyond the contractually limited term. A person holding a Term appointment may apply for a Probationary or Continuing appointment if such a position is available.
