Faculty Workweek. A. Each full-time instructional faculty member will be responsible for a combined total of twenty-five (25) weekly class hours and office hours. Every instructional faculty member will teach fifteen (15) classroom contact hours per week in each of the Fall and Spring terms or their equivalent. Each term will consist of an average of eighty (80) potential class and examination days during a period of time not to exceed seventeen (17) weeks in duration, or a total of not more than 165 scheduled class days. Faculty will be required to participate in scheduled departmental, discipline, and college-wide or campus or division-related activities, and to perform any other duties required to fulfill their instructional or programmatic obligations as delineated elsewhere in this article. Each faculty member’s workweek will not exceed thirty-five (35) hours and five (5) consecutive calendar days, unless waived by the individual faculty member. B. Library faculty members and counselors will account for their weekly hours as approved by their immediate supervisor, with the total number of hours not to exceed thirty-five (35) hours per week, or an average of seventy (70) hours per pay period 1. Each workday will include a thirty (30) minute rest period which may be scheduled, at the discretion of the faculty member, in two fifteen (15) minute increments or in one thirty (30) minute period. 2. Schedules for library faculty and counselors will allow for a reasonable degree of flexibility to attend meetings, sponsor organizations, and participate in campus or division or college-wide projects and initiatives. In order to perform such duties, the schedules of library faculty and counselors may be modified upon the approval of the administration in order to provide adequate service to students and other members of the College community, Each library faculty member’s workweek will not exceed five consecutive calendar days, unless waived by the individual library faculty member.

Faculty Workweek. The workweek of a full-time instructional faculty member shall be thirty hours per week, excluding time for any extra pay courses. Each faculty member employed on a full-time basis must be on duty each duty day in a given term except for approved leave. Duty days may vary among faculty based on their instructional assignments and office hours as approved by their administrative supervisor. The equivalent of 15 hours per week shall be spent in course instruction. 10 hours per week shall be spent in office hours, or a number needed to bring the total hours spent in instruction and office hours to 25 per week, whichever is less. The remaining hours may be used to fulfill instructional and programmatic obligations as outlined in this Article, or for participation in meetings or other scheduled activities of the faculty member’s department, division, or campus, or of the College itself. For post-secondary adult vocational or technical credit faculty member, a minimum of 20 hours per week for instruction and a minimum of 10 hours per week for office hours and for such activities as student appointments, committee meetings, and College activities is required.
Faculty Workweek. In order to serve the needs of students and perform their essential functions and duties, faculty members shall be available as needed during the typical workweek, which shall be forty (40) hours for the purposes of benefits, leave, and administrative record keeping. To ensure the highest level of communication, participation, and academic inclusion, supervisors shall endeavor to schedule mandatory meetings with as much notice as practical. All attempts will be made to schedule meetings well in advance, and with a consistent schedule. Leave would not be required for needing to miss a meeting which is scheduled with less than 36 hours’ notice.
Faculty Workweek. A. Each term will consist of an average of seventy-eight (78) potential class and examination days during a period of time not to exceed sixteen (16) weeks in duration, or a total of not more than 155 scheduled class days over two semesters. B. Each faculty member’s workweek will not exceed thirty-five (35) hours and five (5) consecutive calendar days.

  • Normal Workweek The normal workweek shall consist of five (5) days, eight (8) hours per day and forty (40) hours per week. This Article shall not restrict the extension of the regular workday or workweek on an overtime basis when such is necessary to carry on the business of the District.

  • Workweek A regularly re-occurring period of one hundred and sixty-eight (168) hours consisting of seven (7) consecutive twenty-four (24) hour periods. Workweeks will normally begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 12:00 midnight the following Saturday or as otherwise designated by the appointing authority.   • Workday and Workweek The regular workweek of a full-time employee in the bargaining unit shall be forty (40) hours and shall consist of five (5) consecutive days of eight (8) hours per day.

  • Normal Working Hours Prevailing Wage Rate Projects: Work performed from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00

  • Holiday Work Employees who work on a holiday shall receive one and one-half (1-1/2) times their straight time regular rate of pay for all hours actually worked on the holiday, plus holiday pay.

  • Shift Work Shift work is work not in excess of ordinary hours (ie 38 hours per week), but carried out wholly or partly between the hours of 7.00pm and 7.00am, Monday to Friday. Shift work is work scheduled at least 24 hours prior to the commencement of the shift. Employees required to work shift work will be paid at time and one quarter of the ordinary rate per hour for ordinary hours worked.

  • Normal Work Week The normal work week shall be thirty-seven and one-half (37 1/2) hours, and the normal daily hours of work shall be seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours, exclusive of a meal period. The normal work week shall be Monday through Friday and the normal workday shall be scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

  • Other Than Normal Working Hours Non-prevailing Wage Rate Projects: Work performed from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Monday to Friday, and any time Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays. The Contractor will perform Tasks during Other Than Normal Working Hours for the Unit Price set forth in the CTC multiplied by the Adjustment Factor of: 1.
