Fair Practice. (a) Subject to the provisions of this Agreement, neither the Union nor the Company in carrying out their obligations under this Agreement shall discriminate in matters of hiring, training, promotion, transfer, lay off, discharge or otherwise, because of race, ancestry, conviction for an offence (unrelated to employment), family status (parent-child), mental disability, physical disability, political belief, colour, religion, place of origin, age, sex, sexual preference, gender identity or marital status; now and as provided within the Human Rights Code of British Columbia.
Fair Practice. A. The terms and conditions of this contract shall remain in effect for the duration of this contract, and can be amended only by mutual written consent of both parties.
B. The provisions of this contract shall supersede any and all rules, regulations, or practices of the Board that are contrary to or inconsistent with the terms recorded herein. Any individual contract between the Board and a teacher shall be consistent with the terms and conditions of this contract. If any individual contract made subsequent to this agreement contains any language inconsistent with this agreement, the language of this agreement shall prevail.
C. The provisions of this contract shall be applied equally to all teachers employed by the Board without discrimination as to age, gender, marital status, race, color, creed, religion, national origin, political affiliation or union membership and its associated activities.
D. The provisions of this agreement shall be applied in a manner which is not arbitrary, capricious, or unlawfully discriminatory.
Fair Practice. As exclusive representative, the Association shall not preclude from membership any person in the unit described in ARTICLE I. The Association will represent equally all persons described in ARTICLE I without regard to membership in, participation, or activities in the Association.
Fair Practice. The District and Federation equally recognize the rights and dignity of each individual employee and will provide equal opportunities without regard to race, creed, national origin, sex, marital status, or political beliefs.
Fair Practice. The Board and the Association agree to not discriminate against any employee on the basis of religion, race, color, national origin, age, gender, height, weight, handicap, sexual orientation, marital status, membership or participation in, or association with the activities of the Association, in accordance with the law.
A. PURPOSE:
Fair Practice. The Union agrees to maintain its eligibility to represent all teachers by continuing to admit persons to membership without discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, national origin, gender, or marital status and to represent equally all employees without regard to membership or participation in, or association with the activities of any employees organization. The Board agrees to continue its policy of not discriminating against any employee on the basis of race, creed, color, national origin, gender, age, marital status, or membership or participation in, or association with the activities of the Union.

Marital status, race, creed, religion, color, sex, or national origin shall not be made a condition of employment as a certificated school employee of the School Corporation.

Fair Practice.
2.1 There shall be no discrimination, interference, retaliation, restraint or coercion by the School Committee, Association or their respective agents against any teacher because of his/her membership or non-membership in the Association, activities on behalf of the Association, or because a teacher pursued, or advanced rights and privileges contained in the Agreement or refused to do so.
2.2 No one shall be required to become or remain a member of the Association as a condition of employment in the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School District.
Fair Practice. 2.1 The Salem School Committee shall continue its policy of hiring, assigning, transferring and promoting its employees without regard to age, religion, sexual orientation, race, color, creed, national origin, sex, marital status, handicapped physical condition or affiliation with any employee organization.
