Family Medical Leave Act and California Family Rights Act. 12.15.1 Eligible unit members are entitled to leave under the Federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the California Family Rights Act (CFRA). The leaves under FMLA and CFRA will run concurrently to the extent permitted by law.

Family Medical Leave Act and California Family Rights Act. Management employees shall be entitled to and the City shall comply with leave as provided for in the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the California Family Rights Act (CFRA).

  • Family Medical Leave Act Pursuant to the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993, an employee who has been employed at least twelve (12) months and worked at least 1,250 hours during the prior 12-month period is entitled to twelve (12) work weeks of leave during any 12-month period without pay but with group health insurance coverage maintained for one or more of the following reasons:

  • Family Medical Leave (a) An employee is entitled to family medical leave in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Standards Act.

  • Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (a) Leave provisions of this Agreement shall be construed consistently with the requirements of the Act. However, if the leave provisions under this Article are more generous, this Agreement shall prevail.

  • Family and Medical Leave Act All employees who worked for the Employer for a minimum of twelve (12) months and worked at least 1250 hours during the past twelve (12) months are eligible for unpaid leave as set forth in the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993. Eligible employees are entitled to up to a total of 12 weeks of unpaid leave during any twelve (12) month period for the following reasons:

  • Family Medical Leave or Critical Illness Leave a) Family Medical Leave or Critical Illness leaves granted to a permanent Teacher or long-term Occasional Teacher under this Article shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Standards Act, 2000, as amended.

  • Civil Rights Act This Agreement is subject to the compliance requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 as amended (42 U.S.C. § 2000d) relating to nondiscrimination in Federally assisted programs. The Performer has signed an Assurance of Compliance with the nondiscriminatory provisions of the Act.
