Fire Safety Precautions. To take all reasonable precautions to ensure fire safety compliance and to remove any fire hazard in the Premises including appointing a competent fire warden to carry out regular safety inspection in the Premises and to carry out fire safety and evacuation exercise in accordance with any competent authority’s requirements.

Fire Safety Precautions. 1. Shall permit no combustible material to be kept on the premises except in an approved container and shall take every precaution to prevent fire including, but not limited to, regular cleaning of dryer vents and ensuring personal property is kept away from any heat source. 2. Shall make reasonable effort to assist the Housing Authority in keeping the smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector operational, including immediately notifying the Housing Authority of any system malfunction. Any disconnecting of or tampering with smoke detectors or carbon monoxide detectors is a serious violation of Washington State Law and this Lease. 3. Shall permit no fireworks or other such explosive devices to be kept on the premises and their use shall not be permitted on Housing Authority property. 4. Shall use barbecues or other outdoor cooking devices in designated areas only and in accordance with local fire code.
Fire Safety Precautions. 1) Tenant is not permitted and shall not store any flammable or combustible material on the premises. Gasoline, propane or natural gas tanks, charcoal lighter fluid, engine oil, transmission fluid (and its container) are not permitted on the premises (either inside a Tenant’s unit, exterior part of the unit including the outside open spaces or in a Tenant’s exterior storage room). As operated lawn equipment, tools, recreational vehicles (i.e. including but not limited to licensed and non-licensed mopeds, scooters, motorcycles/bikes) and especially with gasoline being maintained/stored in the equipment/vehicles are not permitted on the premises (either inside a Tenant’s unit, exterior part of the unit including the outside open spaces or in a Tenant’s exterior storage room. 2) Tenant shall take every precaution that includes regular cleaning of dryer vents, to prevent fire. 3) Tenant shall make reasonable efforts to help PHA keep smoke alarms operational by, for example, performing interim testing of smoke detectors to assure they are in working order, installing and maintaining working batteries, and advising PHA immediately of any system malfunction. Any disconnecting of or tampering with smoke detectors is a serious violation of law and this Dwelling Lease. 4) Tenant shall maintain their unit safety/security trouble light/pull cords in a safe, secure and fully operable manner (i.e., do not tape off switches and cords); to assure the device(s) are maintain at their fullest operable state. Any disconnecting or tampering with the device(s) is a safety/security issue and a serious violation of this Dwelling Lease (Keewaydin Plaza development).
Fire Safety Precautions. The State shall develop and implement adequate fire safety precautions. The precautions shall include appropriate maintenance of fire suppression and detection equipment and maintenance of doors and door locks so that they may be opened in the event of a fire.   • Safety Precautions Resident acknowledges that neither Owner nor any of its agents, employees or representatives has made any representations or warranties, either written or oral, concerning the safety of the Property, the bedroom space or any apartment, or the effectiveness or operability of any security devices or safety, health or security measures at the Property, the bedroom space or any apartment. Resident acknowledges that Owner neither warrants nor guarantees the safety or security of residents or their Guests against any criminal or wrongful acts of third parties. Resident and his or her Guests are responsible for protecting their own respective person and property and hereby release Owner and its agents, employees and representatives for any and all damage to person and property. Owner’s safety measures are neither a warranty of safety nor a guaranty against crime or of a reduced risk of crime. Resident acknowledges that security devices or measures may be changed or removed by Owner without notice or compensation, and/or may fail or be thwarted by criminals or by electrical or mechanical malfunctions. Therefore, Resident acknowledges that he or she should not rely on such devices or measures and should take steps to protect himself or herself and his or her existing property notwithstanding these devices. Resident agrees to immediately notify Owner’s representative of any malfunctions involving locks and life-safety building components. Should Resident become seriously injured or imperiled at the Property, Resident authorizes Owner and its agents to call 911 Emergency at Resident’s expense, without legal obligation to do so.

For each request, a response will be sent back to USAC to indicate success or failure of transmission.

  • Safety Where an employee is prevented from working at the employee’s particular function as a result of unsafe conditions caused by the inclement weather, the employee may be transferred to other work in the employee’s classification on site, until the unsafe conditions are rectified. Where such alternative is not available and until the unsafe conditions are rectified, the employee shall remain on site. The employee shall be paid for such time without reduction of the employees’ inclement weather entitlement.

  • Safety Glasses Section 1. The City shall supply prescription safety glasses with plastic lenses to employees who are required to wear safety glasses and who are members of the classifications contained in Appendix C to this contract. Safety glasses which are authorized must be industrial grade safety glasses which meet or exceed the requirements of ANSI Specification Z87. 1. All employees who are required to wear safety glasses shall also be required to wear side xxxxxxx, either permanent or snap-on, whenever an eye hazard exists. Solid tinted glasses will not be approved unless required by prescription. Photogray, progressive, scratch coating and/or anti-glare lenses may be considered for those employees who primarily work outdoors or as prescribed. In the event that additional classes are identified as needing either prescription safety glasses or protective eyewear, such classes may be added to the classification list in Appendix C upon approval of PAGE and the City. Section 2. The City agrees to pay the full cost of required prescription safety glasses, with frames not to exceed $75.00. This excludes the cost of the eye examination which will be the responsibility of the employee. The effected employees will be allowed one (1) replacement of safety glasses every two (2) years. In the event the safety glasses become lost, unserviceable, or broken on the job, the employee must present a written request for replacement to the Department Head and Human Resources Director. If the employee breaks his safety glasses while on the job, the Department shall replace the glasses at no cost to the employee. The replacement of lost glasses or glasses that are broken off the job will be at the discretion of the Department Head and Human Resources Director. If an employee has been provided safety glasses by the City, the employee shall be permitted to retain possession of the glasses after separation from the City without reimbursing the City for any costs associated with the glasses. Section 3. An employee who is required to wear prescription safety glasses must present a written request to his department head or designated representative. Section 4. The employee must obtain a current prescription and the employee is authorized the use of sick leave not to exceed two (2) hours to accomplish this examination. The employee will obtain a purchase order from the Department Head prior to ordering the safety glasses. The employee will present the purchase order to the appropriate vendor when ordering. The vendor will contact the appropriate Department Head when the glasses are ready for delivery. The Department Head will then notify the employee who will present himself at the vendor for fitting and pickup. Section 5. In the event a probationary employee has been issued safety glasses and terminates his employment with the City for any reason during the probationary period, he shall be required to reimburse the City for any expenses incurred in the purchase of safety glasses.

  • Safety Boots Each employee, after 3 months’ continuous service, will be reimbursed (on production of a receipt), the cost of one pair of safety boots (approved by the employer), in each year, to a maximum of $110.00. All protective clothing such as wet weather jackets, safety helmets, welding jackets, welding xxxxxxx, welding gauntlets, rubber boots, etc, (which remain the property of the Company), will be supplied on all occasions deemed necessary.
