FML as Qualifying Exigency Leave. Qualifying Exigency Leave is an additional type of FML available to eligible Academic Researchers. If the military member is the spouse, domestic partner, son, daughter or parent of the Academic Researcher, the Academic Researcher may take Qualifying Exigency Leave to attend to any “qualifying exigency” while the military member is on covered activity duty or call to covered active duty status.

FML as Qualifying Exigency Leave. An eligible Nurse may take Qualifying Exigency Leave if the Nurse’s spouse, domestic partner, son, daughter or parent is a military member and the Nurse needs to attend to any “qualifying exigency” while the military member is on covered active duty, consistent with the definition of those terms in §C.7.a., below. The general FML provisions set forth in §C.1., above, apply to Qualifying Exigency Leave except to the extent that provisions more specific to Qualifying Exigency Leave are set forth in this Section.

  • Qualifying Exigency Leave In the event that a member of the employee’s immediate household is called to covered active duty, such as a short notice deployment (i.e., deployment within seven or less days of notice), the employee will be granted time off to address necessary family matters in accordance with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).

  • Family Medical Leave Act The Board shall pay its share of the premiums for up to a total of twelve (12) weeks per year during an approved, qualifying leave in accordance with the Family Medical Leave Act.

  • Family Illness Leave An employee will be granted leave of absence for up to five (5) days per year without loss of pay or benefits for family illness. Additional family illness leave may be granted by the employer.

  • Family Medical Leave (a) An employee is entitled to family medical leave in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Standards Act.

  • Family Leave 1. An Appointing Authority shall grant to a full time or part time employee who has completed his/her probationary period, or if there is no such probationary period, has been employed for at least three consecutive months, an unpaid leave of absence for up to twenty-six (26) weeks in conjunction with the birth, adoption or placement of a child as long as the leave concludes within twelve (12) months following the birth or placement.

  • Family and Medical Leave Act All employees who worked for the Employer for a minimum of twelve (12) months and worked at least 1250 hours during the past twelve (12) months are eligible for unpaid leave as set forth in the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993. Eligible employees are entitled to up to a total of 12 weeks of unpaid leave during any twelve (12) month period for the following reasons:
