Fuel Sampling Sample Clauses

Fuel Sampling. Testing shall be conducted annually. Fuel Sampling will provide indicators that identify degradation of fuel, microbial contamination, and other factors that contribute to reduced reliability. The Facility Representative shall determine which generator tanks will be tested and shall notify the Contractor for scheduling. Fuel shall be tested for the following: Stability -this test provides an indication of thermal oxidative stability, or level of degradation of fuel. Xxxx Xxxxxxx - This test measures entrained water. The presence of water can prematurely create corrosion and wear, reduce lubrication, plug filters, and create an environment for microbial growth. API Gravity - API Gravity is a measure of how heavy or light petroleum liquid is compared to water. It is used to measure the relative density between petroleum products. The higher the number the lighter or less dense the material. Physical distillation - Distillation provides a measure of the temperature range over which a fuel volatizes or turns to a vapor. Lighter fuels typically have a greater volatility than heavier fuels. Cetane Index - An approximation of cetane number. Conventional diesel must have a cetane number of at least 40 in the United States. Higher cetane numbers help ensure good cold start properties and minimize the formation of white smoke. Sulfur - Sulfur levels in fuel are regulated by various governmental agencies to assure compatibility with emission standard requirements. Flash Point - The flash point as specified is not directly related to engine performance. It is, however, of importance in connection with legal requirements and safety precautions involved in fuel handling and storage, and it is normally specified to meet insurance and fire regulations. Color - a visual characterization of the appearance of fuel by color according to a rating scale. Pour Point · Pour point is the temperature at which the fuel ceases to flow. Microbial Contamination - use reflective light to quantify the presence of bacteria or other microorganisms in fuel. Fuel shall be drawn from the bottom of the tanks and sent to an approved laboratory for testing. Test results and repair recommendations shall be submitted to the Facilities Management Division, Facility Representative within 30 days of the initial testing. The Contractor shall provide an itemized quote using the time and material rates defined within the repair services for all recommendations to stabilize the fuel tanks.

Fuel Sampling. 7.1 NTPM shall take four representative samples at the Bunker Tank sampler location of the Fuel delivered to the Vessel. Two sealed samples shall be handed to the Purchaser and the other two sealed samples retained by NTPM. Upon completion of sampling, all samples are to be sealed, labelled and signed by both NTPM and the Purchaser.
Fuel Sampling. All the areas in the study site were stratified on vegetation maps according to the dominant vegetation type and forest fuel load was estimated with standard methods for inventorying surface biomass in 49 plots by conducting two field campaigns in the area carried out by GFMC staff. 1 xxx.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxxx.xxx
Fuel Sampling. 2.2 Fuel Modeling Fuel models were created by following a two stage clustering procedure: Xxxx’x minimum variance method in combination with the k-means method and hierarchical clustering. Overall, 6 fuel models representatives for the whole area were produced.

Related to Fuel Sampling

  • Sampling The Licensee agrees that the Composition is purchased as a “Work Made for Hire” whereby the clearing of any sampled materials is the responsibility of Licensee.

  • First sampling In the first sampling four lamps are selected at random. The first sample of two is marked A, the second sample of two is marked B.

  • Testing Landlord shall have the right to conduct annual tests of the Premises to determine whether any contamination of the Premises or the Project has occurred as a result of Tenant’s use. Tenant shall be required to pay the cost of such annual test of the Premises; provided, however, that if Tenant conducts its own tests of the Premises using third party contractors and test procedures acceptable to Landlord which tests are certified to Landlord, Landlord shall accept such tests in lieu of the annual tests to be paid for by Tenant. In addition, at any time, and from time to time, prior to the expiration or earlier termination of the Term, Landlord shall have the right to conduct appropriate tests of the Premises and the Project to determine if contamination has occurred as a result of Tenant’s use of the Premises. In connection with such testing, upon the request of Landlord, Tenant shall deliver to Landlord or its consultant such non-proprietary information concerning the use of Hazardous Materials in or about the Premises by Tenant or any Tenant Party. If contamination has occurred for which Tenant is liable under this Section 30, Tenant shall pay all costs to conduct such tests. If no such contamination is found, Landlord shall pay the costs of such tests (which shall not constitute an Operating Expense). Landlord shall provide Tenant with a copy of all third party, non-confidential reports and tests of the Premises made by or on behalf of Landlord during the Term without representation or warranty and subject to a confidentiality agreement. Tenant shall, at its sole cost and expense, promptly and satisfactorily remediate any environmental conditions identified by such testing in accordance with all Environmental Requirements. Landlord’s receipt of or satisfaction with any environmental assessment in no way waives any rights which Landlord may have against Tenant.

  • Test Samples The Contractor is responsible for providing Samples of sufficient size for test purposes and for coordinating such tests with the Work Progress Schedule to avoid delay.

  • Calibration The comparison of a measurement system or device of unverified accuracy with a measurement system of known and greater accuracy to detect deviation of the unverified measurement system from required performance specifications (of the unverified measurement system or device) and to quantify all measured values to applicable units of the international system of units.

  • Fuel 28.1 The Vehicle must be returned with the amount of fuel equal to that at the time of the commencement of the rental. If the Vehicle is returned with less fuel, the difference will be charged to You at a rate of $5.00 including GST per litre (which includes a service component).

  • Nature of sampling Samples of lamps shall be selected at random from the production of a uniform batch. A uniform batch means a set of lamps of the same type, defined according to the production methods of the manufacturer. The assessment shall in general cover series production from individual factories. However, a manufacturer may group together records concerning the same type from several factories, provided these operate under the same quality system and quality management.

  • Standard Samples Bid Specifications may indicate that the Product to be purchased must be equal to a standard sample on display in a place designated by the Commissioner and such sample will be made available to the Bidder for examination prior to the opening date. Failure by the Bidder to examine such sample shall not entitle the Bidder to any relief from the conditions imposed by the Bid Specifications.

  • Plant The expression ‘Plant’ as used in the tender papers shall mean every temporary accessory necessary or considered necessary by the Engineer to execute, construct, complete and maintain the work and all altered, modified, substituted and additional works ordered in the time and the manner herein provided and all temporary materials and special and other articles and appliance of every sort kind and description whatsoever intended or used therefore.

  • Tests 7.7.1 If the Contract Documents, laws, ordinances, rules, regulations or orders of any public authority having jurisdiction require any portion of the Work to be inspected, tested or approved, the Contractor shall give the Architect timely notice of its readiness so the Architect may observe such inspection, testing or approval.
