Funeral. An employee shall be allowed to use one (1) day of sick leave and additional days as approved by the local Superintendent, to attend the funeral of an aunt, uncle, nephew, xxxxx, grandparent, father-in-law, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law or the spouse of his/her child or anyone who has virtually held the position of grandparent, grandchild, father-in-law, or mother-in-law.
Funeral. The Board shall grant up to one (1) working day leave with pay to an employee to attend a funeral, provided such employee has the previous authorization of the employee's supervisor, which shall not be unreasonably withheld.
Funeral. With the approval of the appropriate Xxxx or Director, funeral leave of ½ day will be granted, with pay, but not in addition to bereavement leave.
8.8 Bereavement
8.8.1 In the case of death in the immediate family, bereavement leave shall be granted with pay for a period not to exceed 5 working days, provided the bereaved employee has notified the immediate supervisor. For the purposes of this Article, “immediate family” shall be defined as per Article 7.1 in the Common Agreement.
8.8.2 The appropriate Vice President may grant bereavement leave in the case of death of any other person.
Funeral. Employees shall be authorized the use of sick leave in the event of the death or illness of any member of the employee's immediate family. Xxxx leave taken may be for up to three shifts, additional time may be approved by the Fire Chief or his authorized representative. The immediate family is defined as: Husband, Wife, Mother, Father, Sister, Brother, Son, Daughter, Mother-in-law, Father-in-law, Grandmother, Grandfather, Son-in-law, Daughter-in-law, Xxxxxxxxxx, Xxxxxx parent, Step-parent, Step- children, Xxxxxx-children, or any other relative of either spouse living in the immediate household of the employee.

Funeral. An employee will be granted sick leave in the event of death in the immediate family of the employee. Employee's immediate family shall include: spouse, parent, children, step-children (in the household), brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, maternal grandparents, and paternal grandparents.
Funeral. Leave of absence for up to one (1) day with pay shall be approved by the Board, to permit an employee to attend a funeral of a person of importance to the employee who is not included in the definition of immediate family.
Funeral. A certified employee shall be granted nonchargeable temporary leave not to exceed ten (10) days per contract year to attend the funeral of a relative or close friend.
Funeral. For funeral of uncle, aunt, cousin, nephews, nieces of the teacher or the teacher's spouse - one (1) day of leave.
Funeral. A. Any employee shall be allowed five (5) working days as funeral leave not to be deducted from sick leave for a death in the immediate family. Immediate family/step-immediate family is to be defined as follows: mother, father, sister, brother, wife or husband, son or daughter, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparents or dependent member of the employee’s immediate household.
B. Each employee will be granted one (1) funeral day per school year for a funeral not covered in Section A above.
