General Conditions of Leave. 52.6.1 Unless it is impracticable, an employee will provide their supervisor with at least ten weeks’ notice of the intention to take parental leave and at least four weeks’ notice of the date on which the parental leave will commence.

General Conditions of Leave. 17.1.1 Members on an authorized, paid leave of absence shall receive wages, health and welfare benefits, and retirement credit consistent with paid status. Members on authorized unpaid leave of absence shall receive health benefits for the balance of the pay period in which the absence commenced, and may thereafter continue health benefits at their own expense for the duration of the leave.
