Granting of Sick Leave With Pay. An employee is entitled to sick leave with pay when the employee is unable to perform the employee's duties because of illness or injury provided that: (a) the employee satisfies the Employer of this condition in such manner and at such time as may be determined by the Employer, and (b) the employee has the necessary sick leave credits. (a) Unless otherwise informed by the Employer, a statement signed by the employee stating that because of an illness or injury the employee was unable to perform the employee's duties shall, when delivered to the Employer, be considered as meeting the requirements of Clause 19.02 provided that the period of leave requested does not exceed five (5) working days. (b) The Employer will provide written advance notice to the employee concerned whenever it requires that employee to provide a medical certificate for a period of absence.

Granting of Sick Leave With Pay a) An Employee will be granted sick le,we with pay, provided he/she possesses seniority rights in accordance with the provisions of Article 10 of his Agreement to the extent of his/her earned sick leave credits. b) An Employee is eligible for sick leave with pay when he/she is unable to perform his/her duties because of illness or injury provided that: i. He/she satisfies the Employer of this condition in such manner and at such times as may be determined by the Employer. c) Unless otherwise informed by the Employer, a statement signed by the Employee describing the nature of his/her illness or injury and stating that because of this illness or injury he/she was unable to perform his/her duties shall be considered as meeting the requirements of Clause 19.03(c) and (i). i. Reporting of Sick Leave The employee will call in sick or returning in accordance with Article 14.05 to the designated employer for purposes of payment. For purposes of notification of absence, the employee will notify the appropriate home in accordance with Article 14.05 of their absence that shift.
Granting of Vacation Leave In granting vacation leave with pay to an employee, the Employer shall make every reasonable effort:
Entitlement to Vacation Leave With Pay An employee is entitled to vacation leave with pay to the extent of his earned credits but an employee who has completed six (6) months of continuous employment may receive an advance of credits equivalent to the anticipated credits for the vacation year.
VACATION LEAVE WITH PAY 14.01 The vacation year shall be from April 1st of one calendar year to March 31st of the following calendar year inclusive.
Leave With Pay Compassionate leave of absence with pay shall be granted for three (3) work days. Up to two (2) additional days with pay shall be granted for travelling time when this is warranted in the judgement of the Employer.
