Granting of Sick Leave With PayAn employee is entitled to sick leave with pay when the employee is unable to perform the employee's duties because of illness or injury provided that: (a) the employee satisfies the Employer of this condition in such manner and at such time as may be determined by the Employer, and (b) the employee has the necessary sick leave credits. (a) Unless otherwise informed by the Employer, a statement signed by the employee stating that because of an illness or injury the employee was unable to perform the employee's duties shall, when delivered to the Employer, be considered as meeting the requirements of Clause 19.02 provided that the period of leave requested does not exceed five (5) working days. (b) The Employer will provide written advance notice to the employee concerned whenever it requires that employee to provide a medical certificate for a period of absence.

He/she satisfies the Employer of this condition in such manner and at such times as may be determined by the Employer. c) Unless otherwise informed by the Employer, a statement signed by the Employee describing the nature of his/her illness or injury and stating that because of this illness or injury he/she was unable to perform his/her duties shall be considered as meeting the requirements of Clause 19.03(c) and (i). i. If the period of leave requested does not exceed five (5) days; and ii. If in the current calendar year, the Employee has not been granted more than ten

  • Reporting of Sick Leave The employee will call in sick or returning in accordance with Article 14.05 to the designated employer for purposes of payment. For purposes of notification of absence, the employee will notify the appropriate home in accordance with Article 14.05 of their absence that shift.

  • Granting of Vacation Leave In granting vacation leave with pay to an employee, the Employer shall make every reasonable effort to:

  • Entitlement to Vacation Leave With Pay An employee is entitled to vacation leave with pay to the extent of his earned credits but an employee who has completed six (6) months of continuous employment may receive an advance of credits equivalent to the anticipated credits for the vacation year.

  • VACATION LEAVE WITH PAY 26.01 The vacation year shall be from April 1st to March 31st of the following calendar year, inclusive.

  • Leave With Pay Compassionate leave of absence with pay shall be granted for three (3) work days. Up to two (2) additional days with pay shall be granted for travelling time when this is warranted in the judgement of the Employer.

  • Extension of Sick Leave Unless an employee otherwise requests in writing, an employee who has used up her sick leave credits shall be granted advanced sick leave with pay for a period up to fifteen (15) days subject to the deduction of such advanced leave from any sick leave credits subsequently earned.

  • Court Leave With Pay The Company shall grant leave with pay to an employee for the period of time he or she is required: (a) to be available for jury selection; (b) to serve on a jury; or (c) by subpoena or summons to attend as a witness in any proceeding to which he or she is not a party held: (i) in or under the authority of a court of justice or before a grand jury; (ii) before a court, judge, justice, magistrate or coroner; (iii) before the Senate or House of Commons of Canada, or a committee of the Senate or House of Commons, otherwise than in the performance of the duties of his or her position; (iv) before a legislative council, legislative assembly or house of assembly, or any committee thereof that is authorized by law to compel the attendance of witnesses before it; (v) before an arbitrator or umpire or a person or body of persons authorized by law to make an inquiry and to compel the attendance of witnesses before it, other than an arbitrator appointed under this Collective Agreement or the Canada Industrial Relations Board.
