Highly Qualified Status. Teach For America will provide the described pre-service training to Teachers presented to School District for the purpose of ensuring that such Teachers meet the “highly qualified” teacher requirements set forth in the federal No Child Left Behind Act of 2001and applicable state regulations (together, the “Requirements”). For purposes of this Section E, only those Requirements in effect at the time that the Teacher is offered employment by School District will be applicable.
Highly Qualified Status. The Employer shall offer an in-service on obtaining highly-qualified status. The Employer shall pay the cost of the Work Keys test, associated remediation, and one re-test, for those employees who choose to take the test to obtain highly-qualified status, up to a maximum of one hundred dollars ($100) for a single employee.
Highly Qualified Status. Readjustment of schedules shall be made if necessary to maintain a position for a person who is above the cutoff date.

For purposes of this Section E, only those Requirements in effect at the time that the Teacher is offered employment by Seattle Public Schools will be applicable.
Highly Qualified Status. A. Employees classified as an Assistant, Natatorium Instructor, Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapist Assistant, and ISS Monitor and any additional position for which “highly qualified” status may be required under statute, regulation, or by the Board must meet the “highly qualified” requirements.
Highly Qualified Status. A. Possession of an Associate's Degree from an accredited institution or, completion of sixty (60) semester hours of college credit or,
B. Demonstration of meeting quality standards by passing a state approved assessment for paraprofessionals. Quality standards are established by the State Board of Education and adopted by the parties as the standards set forth to establish highly qualified status. Bargaining unit employees must contact the Human Resources Department to obtain information on meeting the highly qualified standard. Human Resources will verify college course work. Upon receipt of Highly Qualified documentation to the Human Resources office, the employee’s qualification status and wages will be adjusted.
Highly Qualified Status. Teach For America will provide the described pre-service training to Teachers presented to School District for the purpose of ensuring that such Teachers meet the current “highly qualified” teacher requirements set forth in the federal No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 and applicable state regulations (together, the “Requirements”) provided that Teach For America shall endeavor to ensure that Teachers meet additional requirements as set forth in the Every Student Succeeds Act. For purposes of this Section E, only those Requirements in effect at the time that the Teacher is offered employment by School District will be applicable. School District shall not be required to hire any Teacher who fails to meet the “highly qualified” or new or additional requirements under ESSA, whichever is in effect at the time of hire..
Highly Qualified Status. A. Employees classified as an Assistant, Natatorium Instructor, Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapist Assistant, and ISS Monitor and any additional position for which “highly qualified” status may be required under statute, regulation, or by the Board. Such certification must be obtained no later than the beginning of the 2006-2007 school year.
B. Should an employee fail to obtain the required “highly qualified” status, such employee will be placed on layoff under and will have recall rights for the period of time specified under Article IX, provided there is a vacancy and the employee acquires “highly qualified” certification prior to such recall.
Highly Qualified Status. All newly hired employees must be Highly Qualified through verification of a Statement of Approval (via sixty semester hours credit at an accredited college/university, passing of Work keys, or ParaPro Test). Current employees not Highly Qualified will have until the end of the 2014-2015 school year to obtain Highly Qualified status or be released from employment with the District.

For purposes of this Section I.E, only those Requirements in effect at the time that the Teacher is offered employment by EAA will be applicable.
