Holiday Work Schedules. (1) When work shifts are scheduled for holidays, seniority will prevail across classifications in the custodial and maintenance classifications for the opportunity to work, i.e. 21.9 (5). If work is scheduled for the support staff classifications, such work shall be offered on the basis of seniority and qualification within classification. In the event the opportunity to work on a holiday is declined by all members of the employee classification, the Administration may hire a person from outside the employee group to cover the shift. The accepting or declining of a holiday shift by the employee must be done twenty (20) work days in advance of the holiday. If custodial and/or maintenance work shifts are scheduled for holidays, such shifts shall consist of twelve
Holiday Work Schedules. It is the intent of Management at each property to schedule the minimum crew required for necessary work to be performed on holidays.
Holiday Work Schedules. The arrangement of the holiday work schedules (December 15 to January 15) is governed by the efficient operation of the Home and the decision of the Employer as to the number of staff required to be on duty at any one time. Where the operational requirements of the home permits, the Employer will schedule each employee three (3) days off and will further endeavour to schedule a maximum of five (5) consecutive days off at either Christmas or New Year’s on an alternating basis from year to year. For those employees who have been granted time off at Christmas, the Employer will endeavour to provide Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day off. For those employees who have been granted time off at New Year’s, the Employer will endeavour to provide New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day and the second of January off. If the opportunity of taking both the holidays off occurs, it will be granted by seniority on a rotational basis. If the opportunity to take both holidays is offered but declined then the opportunity is waived until the next rotation may occur. In the event of conflict between employees, bargaining unit seniority shall be the decisive factor. Written requests for this time off must be received by the Director of Care by November 1st. Christmas and New Year’s time off shall be posted by November 15th. Holiday Work Schedules. Managers and employees in each work unit are strongly encouraged to utilize the consensus process to develop procedures for the scheduling of holiday work that best suit the needs and demands of that unit.   • Work Schedules Workweeks and work shifts of different numbers of hours may be established by the Employer in order to meet business and customer service needs, as long as the work schedules meet federal and state laws.

  • NORMAL WORK SCHEDULES 112. Unless otherwise provided in this Agreement, a “normal work day” is a tour of duty of eight (8) hours completed within not more than nine (9) hours. The normal work week for employees covered by this agreement is 40 hours.

A flexible work schedule is defined as having established working hours different from the standard 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday schedule, to be followed by an employee for an agreed upon period of time.

  • Five Day Work Week Schedule When working under the five (5) day work week schedule, Employees shall receive one and one-half (1.5x) times their regular rate of pay for the first two (2) hours of overtime Monday through Friday. All other overtime Monday through Friday shall be paid at double time (2x).

  • Regular Work Schedules The regular work schedule for overtime-eligible employees will not be more than forty (40) hours in a workweek, with two (2) consecutive calendar days off and starting and ending times as determined by the requirements of the position and the Employer. The Employer may adjust the regular work schedule with prior notice to the employee.

  • Sunday Work Employees required to work overtime on Sundays shall be paid for a minimum of three hours work at double time. The double time is to be paid until the employee is relieved from duty.

  • HOURS AND WORK SCHEDULES 1. The basic department, agency or other operational unit work schedules and practices, including work schedules or practices peculiar to particular classes, in effect on the effective date of this Agreement, shall not be changed without the employer informing MSEA-SEIU in advance and negotiating the impact of such changes, if requested, on the affected employees. Negotiations shall occur no longer than a thirty (30) day period prior to the implementation of the change. If the parties have not reached agreement within the thirty (30) day period, the obligation to bargain shall continue.

  • Work Schedule A 4/10 work schedule is four (4) ten hour days in a seven (7) day period, for a total of forty (40) hours per week.
