Holiday Within Vacation Period. Sundays occurring during vacation period shall count as part of such vacations. If an employee is eligible for a holiday with pay which falls during a regular scheduled vacation week, the Company may grant that holiday off with pay on the last day preceding or the first day following the vacation, but if not convenient to operating schedules, he/she will receive a days pay in lieu of the day off.

Holiday Within Vacation Period. (a) In addition to vacation allowance, employees may defer or shall be paid the applicable holiday allowance for the recognized holidays named in Article XII, Holidays, Section 2, of this Agreement which are observed during vacations of a week or longer. No extra day of vacation shall be given in place of the holiday allowance.
Holiday Within Vacation Period. It is agreed that if a holiday named under Section 5 of this Agree­ ment, or any other recognized and observed by closing by the Employer, falls within the vacation period of an employee, an additional day off shall be added to the vacation period with full pay therefor or the employee shall be paid one additional day’s pay in lieu thereof.
Holiday Within Vacation Period. It is agreed that if a holiday named under Section 5 of this Agree­ ployer fails to comply, then the Employer who takes over or purchases a store shall assume the pro rata obligations and also the obligations of the full vacation pay of each employee in the store whom he retains.

  • Vacation Period ‌ The choice of vacation periods shall be granted to employees on the basis of seniority with the Employer except where the period requested would be detrimental to the operation of the Employer.

  • Unbroken Vacation Period An Employee shall receive an unbroken period of vacation unless mutually agreed upon between the Employee and the Employer.

  • Compensation for Holidays Falling Within Vacation Schedule If a paid holiday falls on or is observed during an employee's vacation period, he/she shall be allowed an additional vacation day with pay at a time mutually agreed upon by the Employer and employee.

  • Prime Time Vacation Period Subject to the provisions of this article, it is the intent of the parties that no employee will be restricted in the time of year they choose to take their vacation. The Employer will make every effort to allow employees to take their vacation during the period of April 15th to October 15th inclusive, which will be defined as the prime time vacation period.

  • Christmas Period Article 16 relating to scheduling during this period will apply, except as modified to confirm that the weekend shift employee will continue to work weekends during this period.

  • Holiday Week In the event that a holiday is celebrated during the week (Monday through Friday), the remaining four days of the week may be worked as a four ten shift at the straight time rate on a voluntary basis with three (3) days’ notice to the Union. In the event the job is down due to weather conditions, then Saturday may, at the option of the Employer be worked as a voluntary make-up day at the straight time rate.

  • Weeks Vacation Subject to Article 17.08 and Article 17.01 (a) (ii), employees shall be entitled to take five (5) weeks vacation leave with pay during the first and subsequent complete fiscal years following the date in which they complete fourteen (14) years of service. Such leave shall be earned at the rate of two and one-twelfth (2 1/12) days for each completed calendar month of service.

  • Vacation Periods Vacation schedules will be set by the employee’s immediate supervisor(s) and sent to the Office of Human Resources for approval. Employees may request a particular period for vacation. Vacation days may not be taken in advance of their accrual. Those employees who are on a 12-month teacher contract are paid during Spring Break and Winter Recess, however, are not expected to be in attendance or perform duties during those breaks.

  • ANNUAL LEAVE (VACATION) A.   • Sick Leave While on Vacation An employee who while on vacation is incapacitated for one (1) or more days due to personal illness or injury may charge such days to accrued sick leave. In such event, the employee promptly shall notify his department, and upon return to duty shall substantiate the need for, and use of, sick leave.
