HOLIDAYS AND HOLIDAY PREMIUMS. A. Employees appointed during the calendar year shall be entitled to the number of remaining holiday hours off in lieu of holidays as designated on the Deployment Schedule for that calendar year. All other sworn employees shall receive holiday hours during each calendar year as specified in Article 4.1.

HOLIDAYS AND HOLIDAY PREMIUMS. A. HOLIDAYS AND HOLIDAY PREMIUMS. 29.1 The following days shall be observed as authorized holidays: New Year's Day Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving Day Day After Thanksgiving Day * Christmas Day Floating Holidays – Seven (7) * * During the 2012 calendar year, employees in the Retail Store(s), the Residential Sales and Service Center and the Business Sales and Service Center will recognize an eighth (8th) Floating Holiday in lieu of the Day after Thanksgiving. Effective January 1, 2013, employees in the Business Sales and Service Center, the Credit and Collections Center, the Plant Service Center, the Residential Sales and Service Center, and the Retail Store(s) will recognize an eight (8th) Floating Holiday in lieu of the Day After Thanksgiving Day. The Company will allow a minimum of 50% of each classification within the Plant Service Center to utilize this eighth (8th) Floating Holiday to take off the Day After Thanksgiving Day.

  • HOLIDAYS AND HOLIDAY PAY 117. A holiday is calculated based on an eight (8) hour day. The following days are designated as holidays:

  • Vacations and Holidays The Executive will be entitled to three (3) weeks' paid vacation each calendar year in accordance with the vacation policies of the Employer in effect for its executive officers from time to time. The Executive will also be entitled to the paid holidays and other paid leave set forth in the Employer's policies. Vacation days during any calendar year that are not used by the Executive during such calendar year may be used in any subsequent calendar year; provided, however, that no more than six weeks' paid vacation may be accrued or carried forward.

  • OVERTIME AND HOLIDAYS 5.1 An Employer may require employees to perform work in excess of their regularly assigned hours. All time worked by an employee before and after his regular shift on Monday to Friday inclusive, except as provided in Article 4 and all hours worked on Saturday and Sunday shall be paid for at the rate of double time. Double time shall continue for all hours worked until the employee has had eight (8) consecutive hours off or longer if mutually agreed to by the employer and the employee.

  • OVERTIME AND HOLIDAY PAY 5.3.1 All hours worked by an employee in excess of eight (8) hours per shift and in excess of forty (40) straight time hours per week shall be paid for at the rate of one and one-half times the straight time rate. All hours worked by an employee in excess of ten (10) hours per shift and all hours worked on Sunday shall be paid at the rate of double the straight time rate.

  • Weekend Holidays 9.3.1. A full-time employee who works a Monday through Friday schedule and the calendar holiday falls on a Saturday, the employee shall be allowed the preceding day off. When a holiday falls on a Sunday, the employee shall be allowed the following day off. If the employee works the day preceding or following such a holiday, he/she shall be given another workday off with pay or shall receive payment for that day at the regular rate.

  • Vacation and Holidays Executive will receive four weeks of paid vacation each year in addition to all holidays observed by the Company and its subsidiaries. Executive may carry over, in the aggregate, up to four weeks of unused vacation to a subsequent year. Any unused vacation time in excess of four weeks will not accumulate or carry over from one calendar year to the next. Each calendar year, Executive shall take not less than one (1) week vacation.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday.

  • Holiday Premium If an employee works one of the following holidays, they will receive time and one half for all hours worked on that holiday: New Year’s Day, Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx Xx. Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving, the Day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

  • PAID HOLIDAYS 12.01 (a) A full-time employee who otherwise qualifies hereunder shall receive the following paid holidays: New Year's Day (Jan. 1st) Labour Day 3rd Monday in February Thanksgiving Day Easter Monday Remembrance Day (Nov.11th) Good Friday Christmas Day (Dec. 25th) Victoria Day Boxing Day (Dec. 26th) Canada Day (July 1st) Civic Holiday
