HOLIDAYS FALLING ON A SATURDAY OR SUNDAY. (a) Saturday or Sunday

HOLIDAYS FALLING ON A SATURDAY OR SUNDAY. For an employee whose work week is from Monday to Friday, and when any of the above noted holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this Agreement; when a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding holiday already applies to the Monday), shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this Agreement.

HOLIDAYS FALLING ON A SATURDAY OR SUNDAY. When any of the allowed holidays fall on a Saturday, the holiday will be observed on the preceding Friday. If a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will be observed.

HOLIDAYS FALLING ON A SATURDAY OR SUNDAY. When any paid holiday (as per 18.01) falls on a Saturday, the following Monday shall be observed. When any paid holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday, or Tuesday where the preceding section already applies to the Monday, shall be observed. Where the College and the Union agree, a paid holiday (as per 18.01) may be rescheduled at a mutually agreeable time. a. When a paid holiday falls on an employee's day of rest other than a Saturday or Sunday and the employee is working a modified work week, the employee shall be given seven (7) hours off with pay in lieu at a mutually agreeable time. b. Subject to subsection (a), when a paid holiday falls on an employee's day of rest other than on a Saturday or Sunday, the employee shall be given a day off with pay in lieu at a mutually agreeable time.

When any statutory holiday falls on a Sunday, the previous Friday or following Monday shall be observed. Where two statutory holidays fall together on a Saturday and Sunday some combination of the previous Thursday and Friday and/or of the following Monday and Tuesday will be observed with the intention of there being four days off in a row. Where statutory holidays fall on a Saturday or Sunday so that such decisions regarding the observation of such Holidays are required, the College will inform the Union and employees of such decisions prior to the end of the previous calendar year. Where the College and the Union agree, a statutory holiday (as per 18.01) may be rescheduled at a mutually agreeable time. a. When the July 1 holiday falls on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday the employee may take the preceding Monday as the holiday, unless otherwise requested by the Employer by written notice two (2) weeks prior to the Monday.

HOLIDAYS FALLING ON A SATURDAY OR SUNDAY. When a recognized holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be recognized in lieu thereof and treated as a holiday with respect to overtime compensation. When a recognized holiday falls on a Sunday, the Monday following shall be recognized in lieu thereof and, treated as a holiday with respect to overtime compensation.

HOLIDAYS FALLING ON A SATURDAY OR SUNDAY. In the event a holiday set forth in (A) above falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the employee shall be entitled to a compensatory day for each such holiday. The compensatory day to replace a holiday falling on a Saturday or a Sunday shall be mutually agreed upon between the employee and the District.
