Holiday Falling on a Clause Samples

The "Holiday Falling on a" clause defines how contractual obligations are handled when a scheduled date for performance or payment coincides with a public holiday. Typically, this clause specifies that if a due date falls on a holiday, the obligation is automatically moved to the next business day. For example, if a payment is due on a bank holiday, it would instead be due on the following working day. This clause ensures that parties are not penalized for delays caused by holidays and provides clarity on when obligations must be fulfilled, thereby preventing confusion or disputes over missed deadlines due to non-business days.
