Holidays Falling on Saturday/Sunday. If any holiday listed in section 9.1 (A) falls on a Saturday, it shall be celebrated on the preceding Friday. If any holiday listed in Section 9.1 (A) falls on a Sunday, it shall be celebrated on the following Monday.

Holidays Falling on Saturday/Sunday. Employees on regular, flexible, and alternate work schedules are entitled to observe a holiday (day off work), without a reduction in pay, whenever a holiday is observed by the County. Any holiday observed by the County that falls on a Saturday is observed on the preceding Friday and any holiday that falls on a Sunday is observed on the following Monday.
