Day Off Work. An employee required to work on a legal holiday which falls on his/her scheduled day off shall be paid overtime (time and one half) for hours actually worked. Additionally, the employee will receive eight (8), nine (9), ten (10), or 12 hours of vacation leave or straight time pay depending upon their regular work schedule. Vacation leave or straight time pay is based upon the employee’s regular schedule and not the light day; i.e., the 8-hour day in a regular 9-hour schedule or 12-hour schedule.

Day Off Work. 1. Any operator wishing to work his or her day off will submit a written request, no later than 4:00 p.m. on the day before the operator’s day off. These requests will be submitted in duplicate. The dispatcher will time stamp and initial the request form and return one copy to the operator.
Day Off Work. All shifts will be filled by departmental seniority order by Supervisors who can work the entire period of time offered in the following order on a recorded line:
Day Off Work. Any Operator working on regular day off shall be paid from the time of reporting until operator is excused, except as provided in Section 50 on Charters. Operator will be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1/2). This is not to be construed that any operator is compelled to work on day off. In the event the operator shall be called in to work on regular day off, he or she shall be guaranteed a minimum of two (2) hours work and if there is less than two (2) hours work, shall be guaranteed two (2) hours pay and in the event he or she works more than two (2) hours, he or she shall be paid from the time of reporting until excused at the rate hereinbefore stated. The overtime rate will not be paid to an operator voluntarily working on his/her day(s) off if the operator was absent from work during his/her regular scheduled workweek. In this case, the operator will be paid as if it were a regular working day (straight-time rate) until such time as the hours worked on the day(s) off equal the hours absent during the workweek and shall receive pay at the overtime rate for the balance of work performed on that day. Tardiness or failure to report for an assigned and accepted day off work package shall be considered an unexcused absence unless at least one (1) hour advance notice is given to the Company of such absence. Articles contained in the following (Articles 45-49 Work Rules) – Ad hoc committees will be established, consisting of three Union and three Non-Union members to discuss work rule changes. Committee to meet monthly or more frequently, if needed. Any recommended changes resulting from the committee will be reduced to writing and are subject to the approval of both parties.

  • Day Work (a) The normal work week shall be thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours and the normal work day shall be seven and one-half (7½) consecutive hours, exclusive of a meal period, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. The normal work week shall be Monday to Friday inclusive.

  • Work Day/Work Week 1. The work week shall consist of five (5) consecutive days Monday through Friday of no more than eight (8) hours per day and no more than forty (40) hours per work week. This shall not restrict the extension of the employee’s usual and customary workday or workweek when such is necessary to carry on the business of the School District.   • Cost of Work The Cost of Work will be adjusted and finalized as part of the Contract Sum in the GMP. The budget for the Cost of Work shall not exceed [Insert Dollar Amount] and No/100 Dollars ($[Insert Numerical Dollar Amount]).

  • Four Day Work Week Schedule i. When working under the four (4) day work week schedule, Employees shall be paid at double time (2x) the regular hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of the regular ten (10) hours per day Monday through Thursday.

  • Work Day The standard work day shall be eight (8) consecutive hours of work exclusive of a lunch period in a consecutive twenty-four (24) hour day.

  • Ordinary Hours of Work The ordinary hours of work will be worked any time between 6.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday. Ordinary hours of work may be varied by agreement between the Employer and the majority of the employees concerned and the ETU State Secretary (via the relevant full time ETU Official) to accommodate the hours or work required for the most efficient and safe operation of the Employer and the requirements of its client. Where agreement is reached to work alternate hours, occupational health and safety principles will prevail. Proper health monitoring procedures will be introduced and suitable rosters clearly agreed prior to commencing work. Adequate supervision must always be provided. Matters on which agreement may be reached include:

  • OF WORK The following provisions designating regular hours of work over the posted schedule determined by the employer shall not be construed to be a guarantee of the hours of work to be performed. The normal hours of work for full time employees shall consist of forty (40) hours per week with daily hours as may be agreed. Full time employees regularly scheduled to work forty hours per week shall be entitled to overtime or the excess hours over forty hours per week only. One half-hour unpaid meal period and two fifteen minute break periods shall be taken on any regular shift. No employee shall work more than five (5) hours without a one-half hour unpaid meal break. One break shall be before the meal break and the second break taken after lunch in any shift of six hours duration or more. Part-time employees hired to full-time shall be credited with fifty percent (50%) of their part-time seniority towards their full-time seniority date. Such credit shall apply to any time periods affecting wages, benefits, and any other provision. The schedule of hours and days of work of each employee shall be posted in an appropriate place one week prior to the commencement of the schedule or Thursday for the upcoming week. OVERTIME HOURS EXTRA SHIFTS Those employees prepared to work extra shifts and/or overtime hours shall place their name on a list to be posted on a bulletin board in the restaurant. Employees who place their name on the list and offer their availability for all extra shifts and/or overtime hours that are required by the Employer during the course of the business month. If the employer requires an employee or employees to work an extra shift or overtime hours, it will first attempt to contact those persons on the list. The contact will be made in rotation so as to attempt to offer extra shifts as equitably as possible to all persons on the list. A telephone call to the employee's residence constitutes a reasonable attempt to contact the employee by the Employer. If the Employer is unable to contact persons on the list or if no person on the list is prepared to accept the extra shifts and/or overtime hours offered, then the Employer may require the most junior person in the job classification then available to work the required shift or overtime. This clause is not to be interpreted as an agreement, under the Employment Standards Act, by the Union acting as the agent to hours of work in excess of hours in a week. For full time employees who are regularly scheduled to work forty (40) hours per week all time initially worked outside of or in excess of forty (40) hours per week only shall be considered overtime. In such circumstances daily hours in excess of eight hours shall not be considered overtime unless the aggregate of forty hours is achieved. Overtime work shall be paid for at the rate of time and one-half and shall be based on base rate plus the fixed component of the service charge. With regard to the fixed component of the service charge as it applied to Article and other relevant articles the parties agree that the "Clarity in Schedule shall apply to its interpretation. Work done on a statutory holiday or work done after on Christmas Eve shall earn the premium of one and one-half times the regular wage and the fixed component of the service change plus the days pay in cases of a statutory holiday. Unless he or she has been notified beforehand not to report for work, a full-time employee reporting for work as his or her starting time shall be provided with a minimum of three work, of pay in lieu thereof. Unless he or she has been notified before not to report for work, a part-time employee reporting for work at his or her scheduled starting time shall be provided with a minimum of four hours' work, or pay in lieu thereof.

  • 00 - HOURS OF WORK 14.01 The Employer does not guarantee to provide work to any employee for regularly assigned hours or any other hours, except as provided for in Article 18.00. Eight (8) hours shall constitute a normal day of work. The normal hours of work shall be between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. for an eight (8) hour day, with one-half or one hour for lunch at the midpoint of the shift. Forty (40) hours shall constitute a normal week's work, Monday through Friday inclusive. Variances beyond one (1) hour of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. shall be agreed mutually between the Employer and the Business Manager. The one (1) hour variance is conditional upon the Employer giving the Union and affected employees appropriate advance notice. If the foregoing starting or quitting times are changed without mutual agreement, applicable overtime rates shall be paid for any time worked before or after the above hours as a result of the change of the times.
