Day Off Work. An employee required to work on a legal holiday which falls on his/her scheduled day off shall be paid overtime (time and one half) for hours actually worked. Additionally, the employee will receive eight (8), nine (9), ten (10), or 12 hours of vacation leave or straight time pay depending upon their regular work schedule.

Day Off Work. All shifts will be filled by departmental seniority order by Supervisors who can work the entire period of time offered in the following order on a recorded line: i. First by Supervisors on a regular day off. ii. Supervisors already on duty, available to work additional time when a shift is broken up. iii. Supervisors already assigned overtime work (for partial shifts only). iv. Supervisors who are temporarily in the Training Department / Special Assignment v. Supervisors on vacation or on a floating holiday. Superintendents shall review, as needed, the proper application of all overtime assignments.
Day Off Work. Any Operator working on regular day off shall be paid from the time of reporting until operator is excused, except as provided in Section 50 on Charters. Operator will be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1/2). This is not to be construed that any operator is compelled to work on day off. In the event the operator shall be called in to work on regular day off, he or she shall be guaranteed a minimum of two (2) hours work and if there is less than two (2) hours work, shall be guaranteed two (2) hours pay and in the event he or she works more than two (2) hours, he or she shall be paid from the time of reporting until excused at the rate hereinbefore stated. The overtime rate will not be paid to an operator voluntarily working on his/her day(s) off if the operator was absent from work during his/her regular scheduled workweek. In this case, the operator will be paid as if it were a regular working day (straight-time rate) until such time as the hours worked on the day(s) off equal the hours absent during the workweek and shall receive pay at the overtime rate for the balance of work performed on that day. Tardiness or failure to report for an assigned and accepted day off work package shall be considered an unexcused absence unless at least one (1) hour advance notice is given to the Company of such absence. Articles contained in the following (Articles 45-49 Work Rules) – Ad hoc committees will be established, consisting of three Union and three Non-Union members to discuss work rule changes. Committee to meet monthly or more frequently, if needed. Any recommended changes resulting from the committee will be reduced to writing and are subject to the approval of both parties.

Home board extra operators. 1) Novato extra operator. B. Home terminal run operators. 1) Novato run operator. C. Nearest out of town extra board operators. D. Nearest out of town run operators. E. Farthest out of town extra board operators. F. Farthest out of town run operators. Within these groups, operators will be called in seniority order. It is understood that hold-down operators are to be considered as run operators. 4. Operators not assigned on the detail sheet will not be required to remain on call, but if they are called and are not available, their request will become void. 5. If assignments materialize, after the board closes, that require the use of additional day off operators, these operators will be called by telephone with a minimum one (1) hour call and will be given the assignment. Operators shall be compensated for scheduled transit time from the home division of the run to the relief point and provided further, that if the assignment is to a less than a full run, the District will furnish transportation (including pay) for the operator to his point of origin on the assignments, if requested. 6. An operator electing to work on his or her regular days off in any scheduled work week shall be paid time-and-a-half for work time with a minimum of eight (8) hours of work time provided that the operator has worked the five (5) scheduled workdays prior to the operator’s scheduled days off.   • Day Work The Company shall structure the Project Working Hours to include one (1) half-hour rest break to be taken without deduction of pay by Employees working the Project Working Hours on any day (Monday to Saturday inclusive).

  • OF WORK The normal hours of work for an employee are not a guarantee of work per day or per week, or a guarantee of days of work per week. The normal hours of work shall be seven and one-half (7%) hours per day, and seventy-five (75) hours in any period. The normal daily tour shall consist of seven and one-half hours, exclusive of a one-half hour unpaid meal period. Employees shall be entitled to a fifteen (15) minute paid break during each half of the normal daily tour, at a time designated by the Employer. Employees required for reporting purposes shall remain at work for a period of up to fifteen (15) minutes which shall be unpaid. In any event, it is understood that such a change initiated by the employee and approved by the Employer shall not result in overtime compensation or payment or any other claims on the Employer by an employee under the terms of this t Where there is a change to Daylight Savings from Standard Time or vice-versa, an employee who is scheduled and works a full shift shall be paid for a seven and one-half (7.5) hour tour rather than the actual hours worked. The Employer will endeavour to accommodate requests by employees for specific days off and also requests for changes in posted time schedules once the schedule has been posted. Shift schedules shall be posted two (2) weeks in advance and shall cover a minimum of a four (4) week period. The following shall apply to full-time employees: During each pay period, two (2) consecutive days off will be scheduled. Schedules may provide for more than (5) consecutive days of work, but not more than seven (7) consecutive days of work without days off, as long as four (4) days off are scheduled in each fourteen (14) day period. Except as outlined below, meal time of one-half hour shall be scheduled away from the floor during the employee's shift whether day, evening or night. Where there is only one registered employee on duty, it is recognized that this is not possible. Should an employee be recalled to duty during meal time, additional time shall be provided later in the shift.

  • Commencement of Work Engineer shall not commence any field work under this Contract until he/she/it has obtained all required insurance and such insurance has been approved by County. As further set out below, Engineer shall not allow any subcontractor/subconsultant(s) to commence work to be performed in connection with this Contract until all required insurance has been obtained and approved and such approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. Approval of the insurance by County shall not relieve or decrease the liability of Engineer hereunder.

  • Sunday Work Employees required to work overtime on Sundays shall be paid for a minimum of three hours work at double time. The double time is to be paid until the employee is relieved from duty.
