International Assistance. 1. In implementing this Treaty, each State Party may seek assistance including legal or legislative assistance, institutional capacity-building, and technical, material or financial assistance. Such assistance may include stockpile management, disarmament, demobilization and reintegration programmes, model legislation, and effective practices for implementation. Each State Party in a position to do so shall provide such assistance, upon request.
2. Each State Party may request, offer or receive assistance through, inter alia, the United Nations, international, regional, subregional or national organizations, non-governmental organizations, or on a bilateral basis.
3. A voluntary trust fund shall be established by States Parties to assist requesting States Parties requiring international assistance to implement this Treaty. Each State Party is encouraged to contribute resources to the fund.
International Assistance. 1. In view of the recent appointment of the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative in Liberia, the Parties call for the urgent establishment of a consolidated United Nations Mission in Liberia that will have the resources to facilitate the implementation and coordination of the Political, Social, Economic and Security assistance to be extended under this Agreement.
2. The Parties also call on ECOWAS, in collaboration with the UN, AU, EU and ICGL, to set up a monitoring mechanism in the form of an Implementation Monitoring Committee (IMC) in Monrovia that will ensure effective and faithful implementation of the Peace Agreement by all the Parties.
3. The Parties agree on the need for regular joint meetings between this Implementation Monitoring Committee and representatives of the NTGL, in order to assess implementation of the provisions of this Agreement and agree on recommendations for enhanced implementation.
4. The Parties also agree on the need for ECOWAS, in collaboration with the UN, AU and International Community, to organise periodic donor conferences for resource mobilisation for post-conflict rehabilitation and reconstruction in Liberia.

BONN AGREEMENT COUNTER POLLUTION MANUAL CHAPTER 19 – ZONES OF JOINT RESPONSIBILITY Three areas in the North Sea Area have been made the joint responsibility of two or more Contracting Parties. This chapter (when available) will explain how these joint responsibilities will be handled. The three joint plans are: • MANCHEPLAN – Anglo-French Joint Maritime Contingency Plan. This plan is in place and a summary of the plan is below. • DenGerNeth plan – A joint plan between Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands. The plan will not come into force until an exchange of notes verbales has been completed. • Quadripartite Zone Plan – A joint plan between Belgium, France, Netherlands and the UK. Arrangements are in place for the preparation of this plan.
International Assistance. The Parties jointly request that, to the extent practical, the international community provide technical and financial support to the UN to guarantee the fair and free conduct of the Abyei Area Referendum by November 1, 2012.
International Assistance. The ATT Secretariat reported to the CSP7 on the activities implemented by the Voluntary Trust Fund (VTF) over the previous year.51 The VTF continues to have a good financial basis for carrying out its work. African states continue to be the largest group among beneficiaries of the VTF.53 Notwithstanding the limitations imposed by the pandemic, the Secretariat and the VTF continued to conduct limited outreach activities to promote the objectives of the fund and support the submission of good quality proposals. These activities included the production of two additional instructional videos on how to complete the grant application and budget forms.54 In order to limit the pandemic-related disruptions to the implementation of assistance activities, the Secretariat also provided guidance to states, on the sidelines of CSP7, on how to apply for VTF funding in a way that makes provision for the impact of the pandemic on project implementation.55 Two other developments in 2021 could have a positive impact on the co- ordination of efforts in support of ATT implementation and support the Secre- tariat’s task to ‘facilitate the matching of offers of and requests for assistance’ as defined in Article 18. In April, the Council of the EU approved funding for a project to provide support for various activities implemented by the Secre- tariat, including the creation of a database to match assistance needs and resources. International Assistance. Since the establishment of Prime Minister Xxxxxx’s caretaker government, the international donor community has reconsidered its delivery of development assistance. The Temporary International Mechanism (XXX), a funding mechanism established in 2006 by donors to facilitate the direct delivery of assistance to the Palestinian people without the funding passing to or through the 6 AusAID Middle East (Palestinian Territories) Development Assistance Framework 2007-10. October 2006. Palestinian Authority, has been extended to 31 December 2007. The Ad Hoc Liaison Committee (AHLC), meeting in September 2007, noted the positive efforts of the caretaker government in its preparation of a comprehensive and reform and development plan for the territory, particularly as Palestinian institutions had been weakened by the crises, fiscal uncertainty and political divisions of recent years. The reform and development plan will be presented at the donors’ pledging conference, scheduled for mid-December 2007. Thereafter, it is anticipated that donor funding will be channeled directly to the Palestinian Authority rather than funding mechanisms such as the XXX. International assistance continues to support UN agencies and international NGOs, particularly addressing the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
International Assistance. The expansion of the EU in the region has had a major impact, resulting in new opportunities for better environmental management and accessing environmental finances. The new EU Neighbourhood and Partnership instrument provides new opportunities for enhanced transboundary cooperation and access to additional finances. Coordination and cooperation shall be extended, where appropriate, to all Member States in the catchment area of a marine region or subregion, including land-locked countries, in order to allow Member States within that marine region or subregion to meet their obligations under this Directive, using established cooperation structures prescribed in this Directive or in Directive 2000/60/EC. International Assistance. The voluntary repatriation, local integration or resettlement of large numbers of refugees and displaced persons of concern to UNHCR requires diverse inter- related socio-economic measures to facilitate their rehabilitation and/or integration into new communities in order to enable them to lead full and productive lives. In this connection and in the context of strengthening inter- agency cooperation within the UN system, UNHCR may seek the support and advice of ILO in areas of its competence.
