Joint Occupational Health & Safety. 18.01 The Employer and the Union shall endeavour to provide a safe and healthy environment or employees through their Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee.

Joint Occupational Health & Safety. (a) The Employer shall comply with all applicable federal, provincial and municipal health and safety legislation and regulations. All standards established under the legislation and regulations shall constitute minimum acceptable practice to be improved upon by agreement or the employee/Employer Health and Safety Committee or negotiations with the Union. The Employer shall take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances for the protection of a worker and when faced with occupational health & safety decisions, the Employer will not await full scientific or absolute certainty before taking reasonable action(s) that reduces risk and protects nurses.
Joint Occupational Health & Safety. The Employer shall comply with all applicable federal, provincial and municipal health and safety legislation and regulations. All standards established under the legislation and regulations shall constitute minimum acceptable practice to be improved upon by agreement or the a Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee or negotiations with the Association. A Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee shall be established which is composed of an equal number of employee and employer representatives, but with a minimum of one (1) representative selected or appointed by the Association. The Hospital agrees to cooperate reasonably in providing necessary information to enable the Committee to fulfil its function. Meetings shall be held in accordance with the legislation or more frequently at the call of the Chair, if required. The Committee shall maintain minutes of all meetings and make the same available review.
Joint Occupational Health & Safety. The Employer and the Union shall endeavour to provide a safe and healthy environment or employees through their Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee. The Employer shall provide occupational health and safety education and training to its employees to ensure that they are aware of and engage in safe work practices to minimize the risk of occupational injury and illness. The City of Ottawa Health and Safety Committee, which includes union representation, shall review the training and education programs on an ongoing basis. The Employer and the Union will ensure that terms of reference are established for the Occupational Health and Safety Committee with bargaining unit member participation. Training for Occupational Health and Safety Committee members, mandated by the Terms of Reference, shall be delivered jointly where possible.

  • Occupational Health & Safety Committee (a) The Employer and the Union agree that they mutually desire to maintain standards of health and safety in the Home, in order to prevent accidents, injury and illness.

  • Occupational Health and Safety Committee The Employer and the Union agree to cooperate in the promotion of safe working conditions, the prevention of accidents, the prevention of workplace injuries and the promotion of safe workplace practices.

  • Occupational Safety and Health Acts Contractor(s) who perform any work under this contract shall fully comply with the provisions of the Federal Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 and any amendments thereto and regulations pursuant to the act. Any Contractor who fails to do so may be terminated for cause as set forth below.
