This allowance shall be paid to employees on a pro-rated basis in accordance with his/her hours of work excluding overtime.
Labrador Benefits. Employees eligible to receive Labrador Benefits shall be paid in accordance with Schedule Escort Allowance Where employees are called upon to escort patients who are being transferred by, ambulance, (air, road, they shall be paid in addition to their regular pay, an allowance of thirty-two dollars per trip effective July With the exception of Bell Island, the provisions of this clause shall not apply where an employee is escorting a patient within the same city or town or another city or town within a radius of twenty-five miles of the employee’s institution. Employees going on escort duty will be entitled and will receive an advance travel allowance prior to commencing on such duty. All monies earned in addition to regular pay while on escort duty will be paid no later than one pay period following the escort. In cases where an employee is required to work on an escort beyond hours and who has not had a sufficient rest period, he/she shall be entitled to an eight hour rest period without loss of pay before commencing his/her regular scheduled Shift.
