Lay-off Benefits. All positions of substitute teacher shall be offered to qualified teachers on layoff who are on the substitute list before any other person is offered such a position. All benefits to which teachers were entitled at the time of their lay off, including but not limited to tenure, will be restored to them upon their return to active employment, and they will be placed on the step of the salary schedule for their current position according to their experience and education.

Lay-off Benefits. 17.01 The Company agrees to provide for its employees a lay-off benefit plan, the details of which are as follows:

If the 869 grievance is not thus resolved, formal grievance procedures may be instituted. 870 871 Step 1. The grievant may invoke the formal grievance procedure through the Association 872 on the grievance form which will be available in each building. A copy of the grievance 873 form shall be delivered to the principal or appropriate supervisor. If the grievance 874 involves more than one school building, it may be filed with the Superintendent or a 875 representative designated by the Superintendent. Lay-off Benefits. During temporary lay-offs due to seasonal work shortages the Board shall make arrangement to continue medical, extended health, dental, and group life for permanent employees during the period of lay-off and until the employee is recalled to work by the employer in accordance with Article 10.04.
