LOCAL HEALTH AND SAFETY COMMITTEES. The parties agree that a Local-level Health and Safety Committee shall not be established at this time and shall be a proper subject for discussions at Labor/Management Committee meetings.
LOCAL HEALTH AND SAFETY COMMITTEES. The Company will organize a Local Health and Safety Committee (LHSC) Representatives meeting in Atlantic in 2021. The meeting will be held for all Atlantic members of the Clerical LHSC Committees and Health and Safety representatives. Such meeting will be held face to face, unless mutually agreed otherwise by the Co-Chairs of the Clerical CHSC. Both parties recognize the logistic challenges pertaining to the various Health & Safety restrictions during the COVID-19 crisis, as such the proposed meeting will be scheduled in the Fall of 2021 and should the same challenges and restrictions exist at that time, the meeting will be held via videoconferencing technology. When such a face to face meeting is held, reasonable expenses incurred by union representatives attending the meeting shall be reimbursed by the Company, according to it’s practices as set out in the collective bargaining agreement.
LOCAL HEALTH AND SAFETY COMMITTEES. 13.2.1 Membership of local HSCs will consist of management representatives and workers. At least half the members of a local health and safety committees must consist of workers not nominated by AP Local OHS committees will include as members HSRs from the WG that the committee covers. Australia Post will ensure, where at all possible, that every worker is covered by a local HSC.

  • Health and Safety Committee Where required a committee will be formed and will meet where required by the Employer’s safety policies and by statute.

  • Occupational Health and Safety Committee The Employer and the Union agree to cooperate in the promotion of safe working conditions, the prevention of accidents, the prevention of workplace injuries and the promotion of safe workplace practices.

  • Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee The Employer and the Union recognize the role of the joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee in promoting a safe and healthful workplace. The parties agree that a Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee shall be established for each Employer covered by this Collective Agreement. The Committee shall govern itself in accordance with the provisions of the Industrial Health and Safety Regulations made pursuant to the Workers’ Compensation Act. The Committee shall be as between the Employer and the Union, with equal representation, and with each party appointing its own representatives. Representatives of the Union shall be chosen by the Union membership or appointed by the Union. All minutes of the meetings of the Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee will be recorded in a mutually agreeable format and will be sent to the Union. The Union further agrees to actively pursue with the other Health Care Unions a Joint Union Committee for the purposes of this Article. The Employer agrees to provide or cause to be provided to Employer members of the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee adequate training and orientation to the duties and responsibilities of committee members to allow the incumbents to fulfil those duties competently. The Union agrees to provide or cause to be provided to Union members of the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee adequate training and orientation to the duties and responsibilities of committee members to allow the incumbents to fulfil those duties competently. Such training and orientation shall take place within six (6) months of taking office.
