Maintenance of Seniority in Legacy Categories. An ESP may maintain seniority earned in a category while no longer working in the category – a legacy category – by staying current with required training and/or licensing/certification requirements for that category. It is the ESPs responsibility to maintain such training and/or licensing/certification and to report results/provide copies to the unit office one week prior to the March Board of Education meeting each year. The Board or Superintendent shall provide the Association with a list of all licensing/certification requirements for each ESP job category by August 30th of each year or within one (1) month of further requirements added after the start of the school year. If such requirements are added with less than thirty (30) days prior to the March Board of Education meeting, the employee will have until the following year to complete said requirements.
