Management Annual Leave. At the beginning of each calendar year designated exempt employees will be credited with 80 hours of management annual leave. This leave may be taken as paid time off, added to vacation accrual (subject to vacation accrual limitations), taken as cash or taken as deferred compensation. When time off is taken under this provision, 10-hour shift workers will receive one shift off for each 8 hours charged. Entitlement under this provision will be reduced on a prorated basis for part-time status, or according to the number of months in paid status during the fiscal year; employees who have used more than the pro-rated share at the time they leave City service shall be required to repay the balance or have it deducted from their final check. Unused balances as of the end of the calendar year will be paid in cash unless a different option as indicated above is elected by the employee.

Entitlement under this provision will be reduced on a prorated basis for part-time status, or according to the number of months in paid status during the fiscal year; employees who have used more than the pro-rated share at the time they leave City service shall be required to repay the balance or have it deducted from their final check.
