Mandatory Leave. The department may place an employee on an appropriate category of leave if it can be reasonably concluded that he/she cannot be permitted to work without risk to the health and safety of the employee, coworkers or the public.
Mandatory Leave. 18.1.1 Definite Leaves of Absence Without Pay
Mandatory Leave. A mandatory leave must be granted by the District if the Unit member has submitted the appropriate documentation for the leave and has complied with all other requirements in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement.
Mandatory Leave. The Department Head, after consulting with the Human Resources Director or City Manager, may place an employee on an appropriate category of leave, to include unpaid time off, if it can be reasonably concluded that he/she is not fit for duty. Both parties agree that in no way is mandatory leave to be used as a form of employee discipline.
Mandatory Leave. Where an employee’s physical or mental condition reasonably raises a question as to an employee’s capability to adequately perform his job, the Employer may require the employee involved to take a sick leave absence up to three (3) working days. If the employee’s condition is such that a leave of absence of more than three (3) working days is deemed necessary by the Employer, the employee may be required to take a physical or mental examination and, if cause is found, the employee may be placed on extended medical leave.
Mandatory Leave. 17.1.1 Definite Leaves of Absence Without Pay Upon written application, definite leaves of absence without pay shall be granted for:
a) Maternity
i) An employee who is currently employed and has been employed for at least thirteen (13) weeks in the fifty-two
Mandatory Leave. As a Christian Based Employer, the Employer may elect to operate with essential staff only over the: Christmas and New Year period [25th December to 1st January], and Easter period [Easter Friday to Easter Monday] When directed to work over these periods, the Employee agrees to take annual leave for days not designated as a Public Holiday.
Mandatory Leave. At least once each year, all regular employees must be allowed to take five (5) consecutive days off, if accrued.
Mandatory Leave. The Employer may elect to operate with essential staff only over the Christmas and New Year period. Unless otherwise agreed with the Employer, the Employee agrees to take this period as a mandatory part of annual leave.
Mandatory Leave a. Employees for whom a reasonable-suspicion determination has been made shall be placed on paid administrative leave immediately after such determination and until test results are available.
b. Employees who are involved in an accident while driving for the District which resulted in a fatality, or for which the employee was cited by law enforcement officials with a moving violation, shall be placed on paid administrative leave until test results are available.
