Manhole Cleaning. Both the upstream and downstream manholes are to be cleaned as a respective sewer segment is cleaned. The high-pressure hand gun system shall be used to clean all components of a manhole including the frame, rim, corbels, walls, troughs and inverts. No payment for work performed shall be made until the manholes at both ends of the sewer segment are satisfactorily cleaned. Manhole cleaning shall be in accordance with NASSCO MACP certified guidelines.
