Meal Breaks / Lunch Rooms. Employees assigned to District and to Regional Offices and to the Headquarters Office should be accorded an uninterrupted lunch period between the third (3rd) and fifth (5th) hours of duty where lunch periods are customarily taken to the maximum extent possible. Lunch periods may fall outside the 3rd and 5th hours of duties in offices where alternative work schedule arrangements are in place. The Service shall provide clean and healthful lunch rooms for the consumption of food, to the maximum extent possible, for all Service employees. Arrangements within Districts for lunch periods will be subject tosupplemental negotiations.

Meal Breaks / Lunch Rooms. With the exception of employees with law enforcement patrol responsibility, employees assigned to Regional or Headquarters Office should be accorded an uninterrupted lunch period between the third (3rd) and fifth (5th) hours of duty where lunch periods are customarily taken to the maximum extent possible. Lunch periods may fall outside the 3rd and 5th hours of duty in offices where alternative work schedule arrangements are in place. The Agency shall provide access to space for the consumption of food, to the maximum extent possible, for all Agency employees. FPS Law Enforcement personnel are considered continuous service personnel. Law enforcement personnel performing in continuous service positions shall be permitted to take meals on an availability basis, subject to calls, assignments and other duties that may arise. Reasonable efforts will be made by management to avoid unnecessarily interrupting these periods.

  • Lunch Breaks The lunch break will consist of a one-half hour (or one hour where scheduled) unpaid break taken mid-way during regular work day. In the event that an employee is required to work during his regular lunch period he shall be allowed a one-half hour lunch period between the hours of ll:30 a.m. and l:00 p.m., otherwise he shall be paid double time for working through said lunch period.

  • Lunch Break Each Teacher shall receive each day an uninterrupted and continuous period of not less than forty (40) minutes for lunch, free from supervisory, teaching or other assigned duties (reference: Regulation 298.s. 3, Daily Sessions).

  • Meal Breaks The timing of meal breaks on any particular job may be discussed between the Employer and the majority of employees at a particular site and varied by agreement. Occupational health and safety considerations will always prevail.

  • Meal Break Unless there are exceptional and unforeseen circumstances, an employee will not be required to work for more than five hours without a break for a meal of at least thirty minutes duration. Meal breaks will not count as time worked unless specifically provided for in this Agreement.

  • Breaks 40.1 One 10-minute paid morning rest break and one 30 minute unpaid lunch break will be scheduled within 6 hours after work starts. 40.2 Where an Employee is required to work more than two hours overtime after the usual ceasing time of the day or shift they shall be allowed a 20 minute rest break paid at ordinary time rates prior to commencing overtime. Employees who take payment in lieu of stopping work for this break will be regarded as having worked a further 20 minutes and shall be paid at overtime rates. 40.3 An Employee working overtime on a Saturday, Sunday or Public Holiday shall be allowed a 30-minute combined Rest Period/Meal/Crib Break after four hours work, such time to be paid at double ordinary time rates, with a further 20 minute Crib break to be paid at double ordinary time rates if the overtime continues past 8 hours worked. 40.4 In the case of overtime work being cancelled by the Employer at the end of the 4-hour minimum or any time thereafter, Employees will, in addition to the payments as prescribed, be paid for the 30 minutes combined Crib/Meal/Rest Period if not already taken. 40.5 If work proceeds beyond the 4 hours minimum then Employees will be paid for all time so worked.

  • Coffee Breaks The Company will provide two (2) fifteen (15) minute coffee breaks during each work day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

  • Lunch If the Company elects to furnish a lunch meal, it will be suitable and may be in the form of a box lunch. The meal shall be eaten at the job site or a Company designated location. Employees eating a box lunch or other Company-provided lunch at the job site will be allowed 30 minutes paid time to eat and will also be granted the dollar amount of the meal allowance as specified under the labor agreement.

  • Weekend Work (1) All ordinary hours of work performed between midnight on Friday and midnight on Sunday shall be paid for at the rate of time and one-half.

  • Tea Breaks (a) Every employee will be entitled to a paid 10 minute tea break in each four hours worked at a time to be agreed between the employee and employer. (b) Subject to agreement between the employer and employee, such breaks may alternatively be taken as one 20 minute tea break. (c) Xxx breaks will count as time worked.

  • Work Breaks Meal breaks 36.1 There will be a cessation of work and of working time, for the purpose of a meal on each day, of not less than thirty (30) minutes, to be taken between 11.00am and 1.00pm. Such period will be unpaid. 36.2 Where, because of the area or location of a project, the majority of on-site employees on the project request, and agreement is reached, the period of the meal break may be lengthened to not more than forty-five (45) minutes with a consequential adjustment to the daily time of cessation of work. Working during meal break 36.3 If the employer requires an employee to work through the employee’s normal meal break the employee will be paid at the rate of double time until the employee is allowed to take such break. 36.4 Where the meal break is shortened by agreement, the employer will pay for the period by which the meal break is shortened, which will then form part of ordinary time hours. Daily rest breaks 36.5 There will be allowed, without deduction of pay, a rest period of ten (10) minutes, between 9.00am and 11.00am. The times provides in clauses 36.1 and 36.5 are indicative only and subject to the reasonable operational requirements of the employer.
