MEMBERSHIP MAINTENANCE. All present employees who are members of the Union shall remain members of the Union in good standing as a condition of employment, all present employees who are not members of the Union may become and remain members of the Union not later than the 8th day of the execution of this Agreement as a condition of employment, that all new employees may become and remain members of the Union not later than the 8th day after their respective hiring date as a condition of employment provided, however, that the Union shall comply with Labor-Management Relations Act of respect to Union Security and the Labor-Management Reporting Disclosure Act of 1959. It is further agreed that in the event any employee employed under the terms and conditions of this Agreement does not comply with the above section, the party of the second part shall notify the employer in writing requiring discharge of said employee. Provided, further that no Employer of the Union shall discriminate against any employee to whom membership was not available on the same terms and conditions generally applicable to other members of the Union, or if membership was denied the employee for reasons other than the failure of the employee to tender the periodic dues, assessments and the initiation fees, uniformly required as a condition of acquiring membership.
MEMBERSHIP MAINTENANCE. Any employee who is not a member of the Union of the Second Part and any employee who is hired on or after the effective date of this Agreement, shall be required to join the Union on the tenth working day of his employment, following the effective date of this agreement or following the date of his employment, whichever is later. Such employees who become members of the Union must, as a condition of continued employment, maintain their membership in good standing. Provided, however, that if any Employer discharges an employee for failure to join the Union upon the direction of the Local Union, the Union shall hold the Employer harmless from legal action.
MEMBERSHIP MAINTENANCE. All employees in the bargaining unit who are members of the Union in good standing on the effective date of this Agreement must as a condition of employment, maintain their membership in good standing for the life of this Agreement. Any employee who is not a member of the Union, and any employee who is hired on or after the effective date of this Agreement shall be required to apply for membership in the Union on or after the 8th day of his employment. Such employees who become members of the Union must, as a condition of their employment, maintain their membership.

MEMBERSHIP MAINTENANCE. Any employee who is a member in good standing, or is reinstated as a member of the Union, shall, as a condition of continued employment, maintain such membership in good standing throughout the term of the Agreement.
MEMBERSHIP MAINTENANCE. L. It is the parties’ mutual intention that the provisions of this Article protect the rights of individual employees without restricting the Association’s right to require every bargaining unit employee, except those exempt from the provisions, to pay a fair share of the cost of collective bargaining activities. MEMBERSHIP MAINTENANCE. As a condition of employment, all employees shall pay monthly dues and or initiation and reinstatement fees, by payroll deduction. The Company shall deduct from each new employee's first payroll cheque an amount equal to the Union dues, provided the employee has worked five days in that calendar month. The new employee's name and the amount deducted, shall be added to the closest applicable check-off; i.e. if the check-off for that month has already been remitted, it shall be added to the following month's check-off, and shown as the previous month worked.
MEMBERSHIP MAINTENANCE. All Employees covered by this Agreement are required to maintain membership in the Union as a condition of their employment.
