The Morning Tea Break clause establishes a designated period during the workday when employees are permitted to take a short break, typically in the morning hours. This break usually lasts for a set duration, such as 10 to 15 minutes, and may specify whether refreshments are provided or if employees are expected to supply their own. The core function of this clause is to promote employee well-being and productivity by ensuring regular rest intervals, thereby reducing fatigue and supporting a positive work environment.
Morning Tea Break. A morning tea break of no more than ten (10) minutes will be taken at a time determined by the operational requirements of the business.

Morning Tea Break. 22.3.1 A flexible approach to the morning tea break will be adopted to suit project and work site needs. With the agreement of supervision / team leaders and team members, morning tea will be staggered to match working patterns and will be taken at the work site or the nearest acceptable amenity to the work site.
22.3.2 Morning tea breaks should not exceed ten (10) minutes.
