Off-Duty Activities. The off-duty activities of employees will not be cause for disciplinary action unless said activities are a conflict of interest as set forth in RCW 42.52 or are directly detrimental to the employee’s work performance. Employees must promptly report to their supervisors any legal restrictions that affect their ability to perform their job duties.

Activities during the House Staff member's off-duty hours must not interfere with his/her obligations to the Xxxxxx Xxxxxxxxx University Hospital educational/training program, and the House Staff member understands that the Hospital is not responsible for any such activities. Furthermore, there is no professional liability insurance coverage for House Staff member's activities outside the scope of the educational/training program. House Staff members are not required to engage in moonlighting. House Staff members working additional shifts for additional compensation at Xxxxxx Xxxxxxxxx University Hospitals (Center City Campus and Methodist Division) are extended professional liability insurance coverage provided they have met the eligibility requirements and have been credentialed as Contract Staff through the Medical Staff Office to provide such coverage. House Staff must be in compliance with the procedures established by the Medical Staff Bylaws, and the Office of House Staff Affairs including obtaining an Unrestricted Pennsylvania license for such activities. House Staff may not participate in internal or external moonlighting under a Graduate Training License. Each house officer must be compliant with the specific policy of their educational program. If the off-duty activities interfere with the House Staff members obligations to TJUH, the House Staff member will be expected to curtail them, and failure to do so may result in disciplinary action.
Off-Duty Activities. An attorney may be subject to disciplinary action as misconduct when the attorney’s off duty activities are unlawful, create a conflict of interest between the performance of the attorney’s duties and the Department’s mission or xxxxx the Department’s reputation or services and there is a nexus between the attorney’s conduct and their ability to perform assigned duties.
Off-Duty Activities. The off-duty activities of an employee will not be grounds for disciplinary action unless said activities are detrimental to the operations of the Employer. Employees will report to the program manager or director of any arrests, criminal citations, court- imposed sanctions or conditions that are required to be reported by Employer contracts or by law within twenty-four (24) hours or prior to the start of their next scheduled work shift, whichever occurs first. Employees will not wear items bearing the Employer’s name and/or logo when in establishments where the primary purpose is to serve and/or sell alcohol or marijuana.
Off-Duty Activities. RESIDENT agrees that, during the term of this Agreement, RESIDENT shall not engage in any clinical practice activity without the prior approval of RESIDENT’s Residency Program Director. Furthermore, RESIDENT agrees that, during the term of this Agreement, RESIDENT shall not engage in any activities outside the scope of RESDIENT’s duties as a RESIDENT that interferes with or detracts from RESIDENT’S duties to HOSPITAL or to the orderly and effective operation of the HOSPITAL or of the educational Residency Program to which RESIDENT has been appointed. RESIDENT also agrees that any clinical practice activities that RESIDENT engages in outside the scope of RESIDENT’s Residency Program (“Moonlighting”) shall comply with the Moonlighting Policy outlined in the then current Resident Handbook. Provided, however, if RESIDENT performs Moonlighting activities outside this Agreement, RESIDENT does so as an independent contractor of the patient, not as an employee of HOSPITAL, and RESIDENT must provide or make arrangement through such other employer/provider for professional liability insurance to cover RESIDENT’s Moonlighting activities.

Off-Duty Activities. The Resident is free to use his/her off-duty hours as he/she desires so long as such activities do not interfere with his/her obligations to the rotation sites or the effectiveness and integrity of the educational program as determined by the Program Director. The Resident must abide by the Program’s moonlighting and professionalism policies as described in the Resident Manual.
Off-Duty Activities. Based on the individual merits of the case, including consideration of existing case law and the recommendation of the Chief of Police, the City will, unless otherwise indicated by these factors, extend all rights, benefits, and protection to officers engaged in authorized police activities.
