Employee Privacy. 3.1. We respect the privacy and dignity of all individuals. We limit access to personal information to authorized personnel who need it for business or legal purposes, and we will comply with all applicable laws regarding disclosure of personal information.
3.2. The company does not routinely monitor personal communications and computer use of its employees, nor search their work spaces. You should not, however, expect that these communications and work spaces will be private and the company may elect to monitor such communications and/or search work spaces. There may be times when appropriate company personnel may access employee work spaces and monitor electronic and other communications for the safety or protection of other people, company property or other reasons. Employees are not permitted to access the electronic communications of other employees or third parties unless directed to do so by the president or a vice president of the company.
3.3. The Company uses various forms of electronic communications including, but not limited to computers, e-mail, telephones, voicemail, fax machines, and software. All electronic communications, including all software and hardware, are the sole property of the company and are to be used only for company business.
3.4. Electronic communication/media may not be used in any manner that would be discriminatory, harassing or obscene, or for any other purpose which is illegal, against company policy or not in the best interest of the company.
3.5. Employees who misuse electronic communications and engage in defamation, copyright or trademark infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets, discrimination, harassment or related actions will be subject to immediate termination.
3.6. Employees may not install personal software in company computer systems. All electronic information created by any employee using any means of electronic communication is the property of the company. Personal passwords may be used for purposes of security, but the use of a personal password does not affect Employment Contract Splendid Zuo August 9, 2005 the company’s ownership of the electronic information. The company may override a personal password if, in the judgment of the company, it becomes necessary to do so.

Employee Privacy. The parties acknowledge that bargaining unit employees work to serve the public interest and recognize that the citizens of Maryland have an expectation of transparency and accountability concerning public sector employees. AFSCME and the State recognize Bargaining unit employees retain rights to workplace privacy and agree to protect workplace privacy consistent with the current judicially recognized standards of workplace privacy for public sector employees. Furthermore, the State and AFSCME agree to negotiate over any employer proposed changes to working conditions affecting workplace privacy as enumerated below. The parties agree that surveillance equipment will not be installed in restrooms and locker rooms reserved for the exclusive use of employees. Video surveillance shall be employed solely for security purposes, including utilization of surveillance footage in the disciplinary process. The Employer is required to inform the Union prior to the installation of new video surveillance equipment with the capability to observe employee workstations.

While not all countries have a data protection law, ALCHEMY has world - wide policies that are intended to protect information wherever it is stored or processed. For example, access to your personal information is restricted to people with a need to know. Personal information is normally released to outside parties only with employee approval, except that ALCHEMY and authorized companies and individuals may also release personal information to verify employment, to satisfy the legitimate requirements of a company or other entity, which is considering acquiring some of ALCHEMY's business operations, or for appropriate investigatory, business or legal reasons. Supplier employee who have access to personal information must ensure that the information is not disclosed in violation of ALCHEMY's policies or practices. Personal items, messages or information that you consider private should not be placed or kept anywhere in the ALCHEMY workplace, such as in telephone systems, office systems, electronic files, desks, credenzas, lockers, or offices. ALCHEMY management has the right to access those areas and any other ALCHEMY furnished facilities. Additionally, in order to protect its employee and assets, ALCHEMY may ask to search your personal property, including briefcases and bags, located on or being removed from ALCHEMY locations; you are expected to cooperate with such a request. Supplier employee, however, should not access another person's workspace, including electronic files, without prior approval from management. ALCHEMY is in no way accepting responsibility for our obligations to protect your personal information.
Employee Privacy. The District and the Association recognize that the private life of an educator is not within the appropriate concern or attention of the District for purposes of judging his/her professional performance and competency and continued employment status, except as it may directly prevent the educator from properly performing his/her assigned functions during the work day. The District and the Association recognize that serious violations of the law, which lead to conviction, should be addressed.

The Employer agrees that no audio or video surveillance or recordings shall occur in any employee sleeping areas, locker room/changing areas and/or bathroom/shower areas or other areas where crew members have a reasonable expectation of privacy. Employees do not have a reasonable expectation of privacy in common office area, employee’s lounges, ambulance or other areas not specifically listed above.
