On-Call Pay and Call-Back Pay. A. On-Call Pay 1. When an employee is assigned on-call duty by the department, the employee shall be informed in writing, in advance whenever practicable, of the dates and inclusive hours of such assignment; the employee shall be compensated at one-fourth (1/4) of their base rate of pay rate for such assignment. When called back, employees shall not receive on-call pay during the hours called back. 2. On-call duty requires the employee so assigned to (1) be reachable by telephone or other communications device, (2) be able to report to work in a reasonable time, and (3) refrain from activities which might impair their ability to perform assigned duties. 3. When a shift or staff employee has been placed on-call on their scheduled day off because they are required to be a witness in a matter directly related to their assigned duties as an Authority employee or as an employee for a fire agency that was transitioned into the Authority and such an employee is not a party to the litigation, the on-call compensation provided herein shall not be subject to the provisions of Section 6.A of this Article.

When a shift employee returns to work because of an Authority request made after the employee has completed his/her normal work shift and left the work station, the employee shall be paid a minimum of five and six- tenths (5.6) hours plus any hours of work in excess of five and six-tenths (5.6) hours in which the employee continuously engaged in work for which he/she was called back. 2. When a staff Battalion Chief or Fire Division Chief returns to work because of an Authority request made after the employee has completed his/her normal work shift and left the work station, the employee shall be paid a minimum of four (4) hours plus any hours of work in excess of four (4) hours in which the employee is continuously engaged in work for which he/she was called back. 3. When a shift employee returns to work as provided above, and such return occurs two (2) hours or less before the established starting time of the employee's next shift, he/she shall be compensated for two and eight- tenths (2.8) hours. 4. When a staff employee returns to work as provided above, and such return occurs two (2) hours or less before the established starting time of the employee's next shift, he/she shall be compensated for two (2) hours. 5.   • On-Call Pay 1. When a regular, limited-term or probationary employee is assigned on- call duty by the County, the employee shall, whenever practicable, be informed in writing at least five (5) days in advance of the dates and inclusive hours of such assignment; the employee shall be compensated at one-fourth (1/4) of his or her basic hourly rate for the entire period of such assignment. 2. On-call duty requires the employee so assigned to: (1) be reachable by telephone or other communications device; (2) be able to report to work in a reasonable time; and (3) to refrain from activities which might impair his or her ability to perform assigned duties. 3. Employees paid on a sixteen (16) hour shift basis are exempt from these provisions. 4. On-call pay shall not apply to extra help employees unless expressly directed in writing to be on-call.

  • Call Back Pay Employees who are called to report to work on their regular day off or that have been recalled to work after having left the Employer's premises, shall be guaranteed a minimum of two (2) hours of pay plus travel time at the regular rate of pay for actual hours worked or at the applicable overtime rate, whichever is greater. Employees who are currently guaranteed a minimum of pay greater than two (2) hours shall continue to be paid at the greater minimum. Should the employee be paid for at least eight hours, travel time shall not be paid.

  • On Call Allowance (a) An employee who agrees to be on call, that is, the employee agrees to make themselves ready and available to return to work at short notice whilst off duty, shall be paid the allowance, for each period of 24 hours or part thereof, set out in Item 17 of Table 2 of Schedule B to this Agreement. (b) An employee who is directed to remain on call during a meal break shall be paid the meal break allowance set out in Item 18 of Table 2 of Schedule B to this Agreement, provided that no allowance shall be paid if, during a period of 24 hours, including such period of on call, the employee is entitled to receive the allowance prescribed in sub-clause 20.5(a). Where in these circumstances the employee elects to use his or her own vehicle the employee shall be paid the per kilometre allowance set out in Item 5 of Table 2 of Schedule B to this Agreement. (d) This subclause shall not apply to a Director of Nursing, Deputy Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing.

  • Reallocation to a Class with a Lower Salary Range Maximum 1. If the employee meets the skills and abilities requirements of the position and chooses to remain in the reallocated position, the employee retains the existing appointment status and has the right to be placed on the Employer’s internal layoff list for the classification occupied prior to the reallocation. 2. If the employee chooses to vacate the position or does not meet the skills and abilities requirements of the position, the layoff procedure specified in Article 31 of this Agreement applies.

  • On Call (a) Employees required to be on-call shall be paid one dollar ($1.00) per hour, or portion thereof. (b) The minimum on-call requirement shall be four (4) consecutive hours.   • Back Pay The resolution of a grievance shall not include provisions for back pay retroactive further than twenty (20) working days prior to the date the grievance is filed.   • Callback Pay When an employee is called back to work after having completed their normal workday, they shall be granted a minimum of two (2) hours pay at time and one half. This provision shall not apply when the hours worked are an extension of the employee's workday.

  • Over-Allowance Amount On the Cost Proposal Delivery Date and, in any event, prior to the commencement of the construction of the Tenant Improvements, Tenant shall deliver to Landlord cash in an amount (the “Over-Allowance Amount”) equal to the difference between (i) the amount of the Cost Proposal and (ii) the amount of the Tenant Improvement Allowance (less any portion thereof already disbursed by Landlord, or in the process of being disbursed by Landlord, on or before the Cost Proposal Delivery Date). The Over-Allowance Amount shall be disbursed by Landlord prior to the disbursement of any then remaining portion of the Tenant Improvement Allowance, and such disbursement shall be pursuant to the same procedure as the Tenant Improvement Allowance. If, after the Cost Proposal Date, any revisions, changes, or substitutions shall be made to the Construction Drawings or the Tenant Improvements as a result of requests made by Tenant or as otherwise specified in Section 5.01(h) below, any additional costs which arise in connection with such revisions, changes or substitutions shall be paid by Tenant to Landlord immediately upon Landlord’s request as an addition to the Over-Allowance Amount and, in any event, prior to the commencement of the construction of the revisions, changes or substitutions. Promptly following completion of construction of the Tenant Improvements and payment of all costs incurred in connection therewith, Landlord shall prepare and deliver to Tenant a reasonably detailed reconciliation of (i) the total cost of the Tenant Improvements, including all Tenant Improvement Allowance Items, and (ii) the total amount of the Tenant Improvement Allowance and the Over-Allowance Amount payments previously made by Tenant pursuant to the foregoing provisions of this Section. To the extent that such reconciliation discloses that the total costs of the Tenant Improvements exceeds the amount of the Tenant Improvement Allowance plus all Over-Allowance Amount previously paid by Tenant, Tenant shall pay the amount of such shortfall to Landlord within thirty (30) days after receipt of such reconciliation. To the extent that such reconciliation discloses that the total costs of the Tenant Improvements is less than the amount of the Tenant Improvement Allowance plus all Over-Allowance Amounts previously paid by Tenant, Landlord shall pay the amount of such overage to Tenant at the time that Landlord delivers such reconciliation to Tenant.
